Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats.

Traffic accident W/O injury: Officers responded to a traffic accident at the intersection of Mesquite Blvd and Riverside Rd. After an investigation, one adult male driver was issued citations.
Lost Property: Officers responded to assist a citizen with a lost wallet. A report was taken.
Stolen Vehicle: A vehicle was reported stolen from a construction site.
Traffic accident W/O injury: Officers responded to a two vehicle accident on North Sandhill Boulevard. After an investigation, one adult male driver was issued a citation.
Stolen Vehicle: An Officer took a report of a stolen UTV. Information was obtain concerning the
vehicle and the crime is under investigation.
Suspicious/Vehicle: An Officer responded to a report of a damaged vehicle parked of the roadway. The
driver of the vehicle at hit the median and damaged a tire. Accident report was taken.
Traffic accident W/O injury: Police responded to a non-injury traffic accident. A report was taken and one adult male was issued a traffic citation.
Traffic accident W/O injury: Police responded to a single vehicle hit and run accident. A report was taken and officers are attempting to locate the suspect.
Traffic accident W/O injury: Officers responded to a traffic collision and conducted an investigation. A
report was completed.
Threatening: A report was taken about possible threats to a local business over a disagreement for provided services. The reporting party declined signing a citation at this time. No charges were filed.
Trespassing IP: Officers responded to a disorderly male who had been trespassed from a local business. The male refused to leave and was subsequently arrested for trespassing.
Traffic accident W/O injury: Mesquite Officers responded to a traffic accident involving two vehicles. Information was gathered and an investigation was conducted.
Civil Matter: Officers responded to a residence reference a civil problem. Officers contacted the complainant and completed an information report.
Curfew Violation: Officers responded to a report of a juvenile out past curfew. The juvenile later returned home and was cited for a curfew violation.
Suspicious Person/Circumstance: Officers responded to a local business reference a suspicious circumstance. After completing interviews, it was determined the reporting party suffered from a mental illness. Officers assisted the reporting party in getting medical attention.
Wanted Person: Mesquite Officer located and arrested a person for an outstanding warrant.
Welfare Check: Officers responded to check the welfare of a female who was running in a neighborhood claiming to be fighting aliens. Upon contacting the female, officers determined her to be suffering from mental illness. Officers transported the female to the hospital for an evaluation.
Hit & Run: Officers responded to a hit and run. Suspect vehicle and driver were located and one adult male was cited for violations related to the accident.
Controlled Substance Problem: An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an equipment violation.
Upon further investigation, the driver was arrested for possession of marijuana and the passenger was arrested for obstructing a public officer.
Traffic Stop: An officer conducted a traffic stop for speeding. Upon contact the officer learned the driver had an outstanding warrant for his arrest out of Mesquite Municipal Court. The driver was arrested for the warrant without incident.
Vandalism: Officer responded on a vandalism report. No suspects or witnesses. A report was completed.
Suspicious Person/Circumstance: Officers responded to a business reference a suspicious incident. Contact was made with three juveniles who had been trespassing. The juveniles were released to their guardian’s.
Minor Gambling: Officers respond to a local casino and cited and released a minor for minor gambling.
Weapon Offense: Officers responded to the hospital reference a male who had shot his right index finger. Investigation is ongoing.
Traffic accident W/O injury: Officers responded to a vehicle versus bicyclist accident on Mesquite Boulevard. After an investigation, there were no injuries and no citations issued.
Hit & Run: Officers responded to a hit and run accident. A report was taken and the investigation continues.
Theft From Veh: Officers responded to a report of theft from a vehicle. Items were taken from an
unlocked vehicle. Investigation pending.
Traffic Stop: Officer observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed and conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. Officer made contact with the male driver and after further investigation the subject was taken into custody for driving under the influence of alcohol and other traffic offenses.
Disorderly Conduct: Officers responded to a local casino in reference to a disorderly male adult.
The male was issued a citation for breach of peace.
