December Property Report

The real estate market ended extremely strong for the month of December. Mesquite agents reported 83 residential sales including 19 single family home lots for future development. Local Mesquite real estate agents helped 64 residential properties find new owners just in time to begin the New Year.
An additional 56 properties went into pending status for closure at a later date. Although this information does include some new home sales, it does not include all new home or private (for sale by owner) home sales if there were any.
Real estate professionals reported that 38 single family homes closed/sold during December 2015. The lowest priced home, a 3 bedroom/2 bath, 1,038 SF home in the Morning Star neighborhood sold for $130,000; the highest priced homes, a 3 bedroom/5 bath, 5,058 SF home in the Mesquite Vistas subdivision sold for $1,125,000. In addition, 5 of the sold homes had sales prices over $400,000.
During this same time, 7 condominiums and 19 townhomes sold. The lowest prices condo, a studio unit in the Smokey Lane Condominium neighborhood, sold for $39,000; the highest priced condo, $117,250, was a 1435 SF, 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath unit in The Springs. The lowest priced townhome residence, a 1,000 SF, 2 bedroom/1.5 bath home in the Skyhawk subdivision sold for $52,000; the highest priced townhome residence was a 3 bedroom/2 bath, 1,690 SF home located on the golf course at Sunset Greens. This home sold for $230,000.
