Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats.
This week, there were 141 total incidents in the blotter:

Dec. 27:
Found Property:  An Officer responded to the high school reference a found bicycle.  The bicycle was taken for safe keeping.
Hit & Run:  Officers responded to a local casino for a report of a hit and run.
Dec. 28: 
Controlled Substance Problem:  Police responded to a trespass violator at a casino. One adult female was arrested for trespassing, possession of a controlled substance, and a local warrant. The female was booked into the Mesquite Detention Center.
Vandalism:  Officers responded to reports of graffiti.  A report was taken and graffiti documented.
Fighting:  Officers were dispatched to a local casino to investigate an alleged assault.  It was determined two persons had some type of altercation but had already left the area.  One person was identified and trespassed by casino employees.
Suspicious Person/Circumstance:  An officer responded to a suspicious incident at a residence. Upon investigation it was determined no crimes were being committed. A report was taken.
Identification Check:  Officer responded to a local casino for a minor gambling.  A male was identified
and issued a citation for minor gambling and released with a court date.
Dec. 29:
Phone Harassment:  Police took a report of harassing phone calls.
Phone Harassment:  Officers responded to a local casino reference a harassment call. Officers spoke to the individuals involved and a report was completed.
Dec. 30:
Theft:  Citizen reported the theft of his chrome wheel. A report was made.
Miscellaneous CAD Call Record:  An officer responded on a report of property damage. Subjects have been jumping the reporting parties wall. The top row of bricks has fallen off.
Theft:  An officer took a report on a stolen iPad Mini Gold from a restaurant.
Fraud:  A report was taken at the police station reference a fraudulent scheme the reporting party received in the mail.
Controlled Substance Problem:  Officers were dispatched to a local business reference two suspicious males who had been loitering for several hours. Upon contacting the two male subjects, officers located drugs and drug paraphernalia. Both male subjects were arrested for possession of a controlled substance.
Miscellaneous CAD Call Record:  Officers responded to a business for a suspected business license violation. No violation was observed and an information report was completed.
Dec. 31:
Agency Assistance:  Officers were dispatched to a local residence, in reference to a possible heart attack.  An adult male subject was later transported to the hospital.
Wanted Person:  Officer arrested a suspect on a felony warrant.
Verbal Dispute IP:  Officers responded to a verbal dispute in progress. Officers separated all involved parties and calmed the situation. No threats or violence occurred between the parties. No arrests were made.
Vandalism:  Mesquite Officer responded to a local business and conducted a vandalism investigation.

Jan. 1, 2016: 
Verbal Dispute IP:  Officer were dispatched to a local residence, in reference to a person who had fallen out of a vehilce.  After this matter was investigated, it was determined an adult female subject had purposely jumped out of a moving vehicle, during a verbal argument with her boyfriend.
Reckless Driver:  Officers responded to a local business reference a hit and run.
Theft:  An officer was dispatched to a local business, in reference to a theft.
Suspicious Person/Circumstance:  Officer responded to a residential complex reference a suspicious incident. A male turned in a firearm for safekeeping. The investigation is ongoing.
Property Damage, Non Vandalism:  Officers responded to a local casino and arrested an intoxicated male for property damage.
Minor Gambling:  Officer responded to a casino reference a minor gambling incident. A juvenile was issued a citation for minor gambling and was released to her guardian.
Jan. 2:
Agency Assistance:  Mesquite Officer responded to an undeveloped location reference a recovered
stolen vehicle.
Fraud:  Mesquite Officer responded to a local business reference a report of fraudulent activity. The Officer gathered information in order to complete an investigation.
Traffic Stop:  Officer conducted a traffic stop for various traffic offenses. The driver had FTA’s and a warrant for traffic offenses. The driver was arrested on the local traffic charges.
Domestic Violence IP:  Officers responded to a hotel reference a disturbance. Contact was made with an
adult male and female who had been involved in a verbal argument. No crime was observed.
Suspicious/Person:  Officers responded to a business reference a suspicious male. Contact was made with an adult male, and the investigation resulted in the male being arrested for possession of methamphetamines and drug paraphernalia.
Domestic Violence IP:  Officers were dispatched to a local casino hotel room, in reference to a domestic battery.  An adult female was later charged with domestic battery (1st offense).  Two adult male subjects were also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
