The Salvation Army received a ‘Kettle Bomb’ on Dec. 16 as Bob Shively, second from left, made a personal donation to the Annual Kettle Drive for $500. The donation brought Coordinator Roberta Franco to her 73 percent mark raised to that point of the $40,000 goal. The Kettle Drive continues through 2 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 24 at all three stores, Wal-Mart, Walgreen’s and Smith’s. All the monies raised go towards the Mesquite Salvation Army’s local programs throughout 2016. Photo by Stephanie Frehner.
