Mesa View Hospital held their annual employee Holiday Party on Dec. 10 in the Mesa View Hospital Lobby ultimately announcing Employees of the Year.
Mesa View Hospital staff members Rob Fuller, Nancy Seck, Mitch Fransen and Hospital CEO Patty Holden were busy keeping everybody entertained, well fed and eager to win one of the wonderful raffle gifts that were available from poinsettia plants to the grand prize, a HP 2-in-one laptop. Food was plentiful and tasty, all prepared by the hospital staff just for the party.
A festive aura hung in the air but really took a turn toward joy for the season when the La Virgen De Guadalupe Catholic Church Choir came to sing Christmas Carols with the crowd of employees and their guests.
To add fits of laughter to the festive fires some staff members cooked up a short skit of ‘How the Grinch Stole Christmas.’ Their performance had some audience members in theoretical stitches but with Mary Lyman close by and winning the title of Non-Clinical Employee of the Year for her work in Risk Management it was all about ‘safety first’ which insured that the stitches never got to the literal point.
Employees of Mesa View Hospital vote every year on their choice of Employee of the Year, Clinical Director of the Year and Non-Clinical Director of the year. Jan Call, E.R. Director, won the votes on Clinical Director of the year and she and Non-Clinical Director of the Year, Lyman, both received cash awards and a plaque.
The title of Employee of the Year went to Sallie Clatterbuck a Registered Nurse who works in Obstetrics. Clatterbuck also received a generous cash award and a plaque and will receive both when she visits the Annual Community Health Systems Conference which is held in the spring. Clatterbuck will also receive an all-expense paid trip to Nashville, TN where the national conference takes place.
