The Virgin Valley High School girls flag football team went 3-1 over the past four days to increase their season record to 5-1 good enough for the eighth spot in the first southern Nevada flag football poll of the season. The poll is a consensus vote of all Division 1 and Division 1-A football coaches.

The Dawgs lost to Legacy High School 33-20 in the opening game of the Lady Dawg Invitational. They recovered defeating Sunrise Mountain 33-18 and Canyon Springs by a score of 13-6. The Dawgs added another win Monday, Dec. 7 defeating Cheyenne by score 19-6.

The Dawgs play at Sierra Vista in a non-league game, Wednesday before opening 1-A league play Friday afternoon, against Sunrise Mountain. All games are at 4:30 p.m.
