The Virgin Valley High School football team held their annual awards banquet Monday night, Nov. 16 in the school student center. The evening began with a buffet for all attendees before Coach Yori Ludvigson began the night’s program. Freshman coach Nick Montoya presented participation certificates to all his squad, thanking the kids for a job well done. Junior Varsity coach John Noel took over the microphone and presented certificates to his J.V. squad.

It was varsity time as Coach Ludvigson presented certificates and plaques to his varsity team. Ludvigson had a few words about every Bulldog he introduced which brought laughter from the Bulldog faithful. Ludvigson took extra care in introducing individual players who were named to the 1-A Sunrise Conference first, second and honorable mention teams.

Making the all-conference first team were defensive tackle Chase Henderson, punter Sergio Gonzales and placekicker Cesar Zarate. Named to the second squad were lineman Jaden Hollingshead, Mikian Musser, Marlan Felshaw, Jairo Vallejo and Garrett Hafen. Josh Bishop was named second team return specialist. Cody Jones and Arden Bundy won second team honors at line-backer.
