After a four month hiatus, the Red Hat Divas of Mesquite hosted a members’ luncheon at the Oasis Golf Club. After dining on turkey wraps, green salad and brownies, local flower artist, Mary Nelson demonstrated the art of floral arranging. Nelson brought three different bouquets of fresh flowers and artistically arranged and decorated the vases before she placed the flowers. After the presentation, the members placed their name in a basket and a drawing was taken with the lucky winners taking the finished arrangements home. She also showed how to decorate different size and shaped receptacles.
Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, the next luncheon will be Sunday, Nov. 22 at 12:30 pm at the Oasis Golf Club. A bus trip to St George to enjoy a play is planned in November (date to be announced) if there is enough interest.
While no Christmas dinner is planned for this year, a special members only (no spouses or friends) luncheon is scheduled for Dec. 13 at the Oasis Golf Club.
The Red Hat Divas would like to invite other ladies to join the chapter. The chapter began in 2004 and has maintained a large membership role. If you are ready to enjoy life at any age, then please give Sandi Sorenson a call at 702-345-6770. To wear the Red Hat and purple attire, you must be 50+. If you are under 50, you are still eligible to be a Diva, but you wear a Pink Hat and lavender attire, still enjoying all the benefits of the Chapter.
