Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats.

Editor’s note: The following was taken from the pages of the Mesquite Police Department blotter for Aug. 23-29, 2015.
Aug. 23:
Disorderly Conduct: An officer responded to a W Pioneer Blvd business for a disturbance with an employee who was just terminated.
Civil Matter: Officers responded to a W Mesquite Blvd casino to assist a U-Haul employee with a missing van.
Agency Assistance: An Officer conducted an Agency assist interview on W Pioneer Blvd for Child Protective Services.
Domestic Trouble: Officers responded to a Moss Dr residence for a report of a Domestic Battery.
After an investigation, a male subject was arrested for Domestic Battery.
Found Property: Citizen found credit card in front of the Mesquite Justice system and turned it in.
Aug. 24:
Traffic accident W/O injury: Officers responded to a non-injury traffic accident on Mesquite Boulevard at the roundabout with Falcon Ridge Parkway. One male driver was cited.
Fraud: An Officer took a report of fraud on Prairie Schooner Ct, concerning the use of a credit card number on the internet. Information was obtained and an investigation started.
Parking Problem: An officer responded to a illegally parked vehicle at W Hafen Ln & Garnet Ln, after a 24 hours parking violation notice was posted the vehicle was impounded.
Battery on Person: Officers responded to Riverside Rd for a scuffle between to adult males; no involved parties requested a citation.
Aug. 25:
Trespassing IP: Security observed a female who had been previously trespassed from an E Pioneer Blvd casino. The female was cited and released for trespass violation.
Minor in casino: Officer responded to an E Pioneer Blvd casino for a report of a minor gambling. A female was later issued a citation for minor gambling and minor in consumption of alcohol.
Recovered Stolen Vehicle: An Officer took a report of a found motor scooter. The scooter had been reported as stolen. The scooter was impounded and the owner notified.
Recovered Stolen Vehicle: An Officer took a report of a stolen vehicle that was located in another jurisdiction. Information was received and owner notified.
Aug. 26:
Information Report: Bus driver found glass door to bus had several chips. Unknown cause of damage.
Information Report: A male on W Mesquite Blvd informed police that his roommate accessed his bank account. Male stated no fraudulent charges were made to his bank account. Male changed his bank account number.
Traffic accident W/O injury: Two vehicle accident at N Sandhill Blvd & E Old Mill Rd with no injuries with slight damage to one of the vehicles. Information exchanged. Report taken, one driver warned for unsafe lane change.
Traffic accident W/O injury: Officer responded to a report of a non injury traffic accident at S Grapevine Rd & Second South St. Accident form completed.
Aug. 27:
Wanted Person: Officers arrested a male on Hillside Dr. who had two warrants out of Mesquite Municipal Court.
Vandalism: Officer responded to a Julian Wy residence on a suspicious male. Suspect male drove over lawn and bushes of resident, who requested to press charges if suspect located.
Aug. 28:
Traffic Stop: Officer arrested a male on Woodbury Ln who had a warrant out of Mesquite Municipal Court.
Dead Body: Officers responded to a N Grapevine Rd residence reference a deceased person.
Domestic Violence IP: Officers were dispatched to a Moss Dr residence for possible kidnapping. During the investigation it was learned no kidnapping occurred, however a domestic battery occurred and one subject was arrested.
Death Investigation: Officers were contacted for a welfare check on Reber Dr. One adult female was located deceased in her residence. Coroner and detectives were contacted for investigation.
Intoxicated Person: Officers responded to a report of intoxicated subjects refusing to leave a Mesa Blvd casino. One subject was taken into custody for breach of peace. The other subject left the property without further incident.
Domestic Violence IP W/ Weapon: Officer responded to a report of a possible domestic disturbance in progress. After investigation one male subject was taken into custody for possession of Marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Aug. 29:
Minor Gambling: Officer responded to a report of underage gambling on E Pioneer Blvd. One adult male was cited and released.
Theft: Report taken of stolen rings. The victim was provided an event number.
Theft: An officer took a report of a stolen vehicle license plate on N Arrowhead Ln. The officer entered the stolen plate information into the NCIC database, and the officer completed a report documenting the circumstances.
Suspicious Person/Circumstance: A female adult was arrested by Nevada Highway Patrol on a Mesquite Justice Court warrant. She was transported to the Mesquite Detention Center and then later transported to Clark County Detention Center.
Theft: Officer responded to a W Pioneer Blvd discount store reference a shoplifting call. At the conclusion of the investigation one adult female was arrested for petit larceny.
Driving Under the Influence: While on a Joining Forces Traffic Safety event in Las Vegas, officers made traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding. The driver was later arrested for driving under the influence and open container of alcohol.
