Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats.

Editor’s note: The following was taken from the pages of the Mesquite Police Department blotter for June 7-13, 2015.

June 7:

Dead Body: Police responded to Pine Meadow Ct for a report of a deceased person. The death was from natural causes.

Theft: Police responded to a theft of a yard decoration on Sea Pines St. A report was taken.

Wanted Person: Officer made contact with a subject on W Mesquite Blvd who had warrants for his arrest. The warrants were confirmed and the individual was taken into custody.

Trespassing: Officers arrested a female on E Pioneer Blvd for possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and trespassing.

June 8:

Citizen Assist: Property was turned into the police by a citizen.

Lost Property: An Officer took a report of a lost wallet and its contents. Information was received and a report completed.

Transport: One Male Inmate transported to Hartwell Family practice where he received medical treatment and returned to MDC without incident.

Controlled Substance Problem: Police responded to a report of possible drug use in an E Old Mill Rd apartment complex. One adult female was arrested for misdemeanor drug offenses and booked into the Mesquite Detention Center.

Theft: Officer responded to an Indian Wells Rd residence for a report of a theft. A report was taken.

June 9:

Battery on Person: Officers responded to a report of a fight at a Pulsipher Ln condominium complex. All individuals involved in the fight refused to press charges against each other.

Hit & Run: An Officer responded to a W Mesquite Blvd business parking lot for a report of a hit and run vehicle accident. Information was received and a report taken.

Found Property: An Officer responded to a report of a found wallet on Hardy Way. The wallet and contents were placed into the vault for safe keeping and the owner was notified.

Traffic accident W/O injury: Officer’s responded to area of Pioneer Boulevard and Mesa Boulevard for a report of a two vehicle accident with no report injuries. An accident report was completed and citation issued.

Property Damage, Non Vandalism: Police responded to N Yucca St for a report of a damaged window on city property. A report was taken.

June 10:

Traffic accident W/O injury: Officers responded to W Mesquite Blvd & W Falcon Ridge Pkwy for a two-vehicle accident with no reported injuries, and the vehicles had moved out of the roadway. An accident report was completed and each driver provided a driver exchange form.

Domestic Violence IP: Officers responded to a domestic battery in progress on Desert Dr. One juvenile male was cited and released to hospital for psychiatric evaluation at parent’s request.

June 11:

Minor Gambling: Police responded to an E Pioneer Blvd casino reference a minor gambling report. An adult male under the age of 21 was issued citations for possessing false ID and minor gambling, and released with a court date.

Trespassing: Police responded to an E Pioneer Blvd casino reference a trespass violator. The adult male was issued a citation for trespassing and released with a court date.

Miscellaneous CAD Call Record: Officer’s dispatched to Mesquite Detention Center for a child custody issues.

Controlled Substance Problem: Officers responded to a report of harassment at a local business. Contact was made with two adult males who were arrested for drug charges.

Traffic Accident w/ Injuries: Officers responded to a parking lot of a Riverside Road apartment complex for a report of a vehicle accident involving a juvenile on a bicycle. Juvenile was transported to the hospital for injuries sustained from the accident.

Domestic Violence IP: Officers responded to a San Lucas Way residence for a report of a domestic violence incident in progress. After investigation one intoxicated female subject was taken into custody for domestic battery.

Lost Property: Police responded to a residence reference a report of lost property. The officer documented the lost items, and an officer’s report was completed.

June 12:

Agency Assistance: An officer was dispatched to an Appletree Ln residence, in reference to a elderly deceased person.

Citizen Assist: Officers dispatched to the police department for a report possible threatening over the phone.

June 13:

Lost Property: An Officer took a telephone report of property lost while in the City of Mesquite. Information received and report taken.

Hit & Run: Officers responded to a Casino parking lot reference a hit and run accident.  A report was taken for insurance purposes.

Domestic Violence IP: Officer took a report of domestic violence. The suspect was located and confirmed the incident. Suspect was arrested for domestic battery.

Disorderly Conduct: Officers arrested an intoxicated male who was running in the middle of the roadway on W Pioneer Blvd.
