To the Editor:

Today, 6/4/15, two small kittens were turned in to the Mesquite Animal Shelter. The couple who brought them in found them in a dirt area by Pizza Hut. The temperature was approaching 100 degrees, they had no food or water and were virtually left to die. The person or persons who abandoned these kittens could have turned them in to the animal shelter themselves rather than let them die. If they could not have afforded the cost, the shelter would have taken them anyway. I could call the perpetrators of this action of abandonment many descriptive adjectives such as cowards, scum or any number of unprintable names because of what they are and what they did.  I can only hope they suffer the same kind of treatment that they put upon these defenseless animals. Remember, whoever you are, what goes around eventually comes around.
