The Virgin Valley Lady Bulldog softball team battled the Miners from Sunrise Mountain High School toe to toe but gave up three runs in the sixth inning to lose 7-4. The Miners jumped on the Dawgs early putting up four runs in the first two innings to take a 4-0 lead. The Dawgs behind third baseman Janella Fiso tied the score in the top of the third with four runs. Neither team could rally until the sixth inning when the Miners rallied for the win. Fiso went 2-3 for the Dawgs. The Dawgs record fell to 4-9 in Sunrise Conference play and 6-22 overall with one conference game remaining in the season. The Ladies faced Del Sol High School on Wednesday April 29.

The Bulldogs’ young baseball team defeated the Miners 17-7 for their second Sunrise Conference win in a row. The win gave the Dawgs a 2-11 conference record and 3-20 overall for the season. The Dawgs also faced Del Sol in their last game of the season on Wednesday, April 29 hoping to end the season on a three game winning streak.
