Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats.

Editor’s note: The following was taken from the pages of the Mesquite Police Department blotter for March 29 – April 4, 2015.
March 29:
Found Property: An Officer responded to Hillside Dr for a report of found property. A report was taken, the owner contacted and the property placed into safe keeping.
Wanted Person: Officer’s responded to an Adobe Dr residence reference a wanted person. After further investigation Officers determined the warrant had been resolved.
Intoxicated Person: Officer’s responded to a Mesa Blvd casino, reference an intoxicated male refusing to leave the property and causing a disturbance. The male was arrested for Breach of Peace.
March 30:
Found Property: Police responded to a report of found property on N Sandhill Blvd. A wallet was recovered and booked into safe keeping.
Suspicious Person/Circumstance: An officer responded to a Haley Way residence and spoke with a male who requested the Police conduct a welfare check on his wife. The check was conducted and wife was found to be ok.
Wanted Person: Male entered the lobby at 500 Hillside and was taken into custody for a warrant.
Controlled Substance Problem: Officers responded to a W Pioneer Blvd business reference a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot. Upon further investigation one male adult was arrested reference a warrant and the female adult was arrested reference a violation of parole.
March 31:
Vandalism: Officers responded to a report or property damage at an E Pioneer Blvd casino. A report was taken.
Found Property: An officer responded to the lobby in reference to a found cell phone.
Traffic Accident w/ Damage: Officers responded to a two vehicle non injury accident at E Pioneer Blvd & Mesa Blvd. Drivers exchanged information for insurance purposes.
Traffic Stop: Officers conducted a traffic stop on a suspicious male who was on a motorcycle at Desert Dr & W Mesquite Blvd. Officers later arrested the male for possession of Methamphetamine.
April 1:
Property Damage, Non Vandalism: An officer was dispatched to a Pulsipher Ln address in reference to a property damage call.
Theft: An officer was dispatched to a Hughes Ave address in reference to a theft.
Theft: Officer responded to a W Pioneer Blvd store for a report of a theft of merchandise. A juvenile was issued a citation for petit larceny and released to parents with a court date.
April 2:
Theft From Vehicle: Female reporting her vehicle was broken into on Turtleback Rd. No damage to the vehicle however an item was taken.
Wanted Person: An officer was dispatched to the Mesquite Justice Facility, in reference to a person with a misdemeanor warrant. An adult male subject was later taken into custody for the warrant.
Theft From Vehicle: An officer was dispatched to the police department, in reference to a theft from a motor vehicle on Colleen Ct.
Theft: Officer took a theft report from a W Mesquite Blvd business of a item missing from store.
April 3:
Fraud: R/p on Bertha Howe Ave requested to file a report of fraud. The R/p was provided a report number as requested by the collection agency handling her credit.
Suspicious/Veh: Officers responded to a suspicious vehicle call at a Conestoga Pkwy golf course. The vehicle and its occupant was located, identified, and asked to leave the area.
Disorderly Conduct: Officers responded to an E Old Mill Rd apartment complex reference a disorderly subject. The subject was subsequently taken into custody for breach of peace.
April 4:
Traffic accident W/O injury: Officers responded to a private property accident at Summerwind Apartments on Riverside Rd. A vehicle collided into an apartment; both the occupants of the vehicle and the residents had no major injuries.
Domestic Trouble: Officers responded to a Long Iron Ln residence for a report of a Domestic Battery. An investigation was conducted and one male subject was later arrested for Domestic Battery.
