The 2015 Mesquite Senior Games Long Drive event had a fine showing with over 40 participants hitting into a 30 mph headwind last Thursday.
Men and women ages 54 – 88 hit eight balls for their longest drive and a chance at winning a medal. Greg Walker, a professional long driver, gave a clinic during a break in the competition helping golfers understand the mechanics of the golf swing and how to make adjustments as they age.
This year, Long Drive added a Pro division and had two hitters come from California to give it a try. They enjoyed their experience in Mesquite and look forward to helping grow the Pro division next year.
Results are posted below and at http://www.mesquiteseniorgames.org/longdrive/.
