Mesquite Off-Road Weekend Festival Features Something for Everyone
It’s almost time to go B-I-G in Mesquite, Nev., as the 3rd annual Mesquite Off-Road Weekend comes to the Eureka Casino Resort February 20-22. The event will feature lower-priced tickets, increased interactivity for fans with VIP experiences, the Enduro Challenge races that are to motocross racers what the popular “mud runs” are to fitness enthusiasts, the epic Beyond Pro championship race, the PowerSports Plaza, trail rides followed by breakfast at Polaris World, entertainment, a freestyle Moto X exhibition show, hill climbs and Mesquite MotoCross Park, and a chance for the everyday fan to go big and pull off their own freestyle Moto X trick as part of the unique Thrill Seeker Mega Ramp Experience.
“To me, Mesquite Off-Road Weekend is a celebration of racing and outdoor activities, and much more than just an opportunity for fans to watch some of the best racers in the world,” said Andre Carrier, COO of Eureka Casino Resort. “This has always been a community event, but for Mesquite Off-Road Weekend 2015 we are showing our appreciation to the fans by offering chances for everyone to really become a part of the action. We have lowered ticket prices as a thank you and the VIP racer meet and greets will be open to more fans. This is truly a unique, one-of-a-kind event with our style of racing plus it offers amazing opportunities to watch and interact with the world-class athletes we have coming to Mesquite.”
This year, and for the first time, everyday fans can feel the adrenalin of hitting a mega ramp by trying the Thrill Seeker Mega Ramp Experience.
“The Thrill Seeker Mega Ramp is for the people in the community to experience what it is like to go off a ramp just like they have seen on TV,” says Mesquite Off-Road Weekend Director Bryan Green. “It is perfectly safe and my 8-year old son has done it. You drop down into the 30-foot ramp fly through the air and drop into an inflatable landing area. There will also be a chance for fans to jump off a platform like a stuntman into an inflatable bag. These experiences are a perfect addition to our event that is becoming one of the most popular off-road festivals in the west.”
Among the world class athletes scheduled to attend and participate during Mesquite Off-Road Weekend are motocross legend Cowboy Kenny Bartram (the two-time, Beyond Pro defending champion), ESPN X Games gold medalist Nate Adams, EnduroCross Superstars like Destry Abbott and Colton Haaker, plus a new crop of FMX stars including Brett Cue. Several other riders’ names will be released in the coming weeks. Tickets start at only $7 for kids and $12 for adults with all-inclusive weekend VIP passes available for only $30 (down substantially from the first two years). Fans can visit www.MesquiteOffRoad.com for tickets.
Racing classes are available from youth to professional on the one-of-a-kind course located behind the award-winning Eureka Casino Resort and event organizers believe athletes from all racing disciplines will enjoy the unique Enduro Challenge track that has been created. Racer registration is open at www.MesquiteOffRoad.com/Races.
The popular PowerSports Plaza is the gathering place for fans and offers vendors, interactive booths, food and drink, and much more. Entertainment is available nightly at the Eureka Casino Resort following the day’s action.

New Visitors, Major Positive Impact Is Goal of Annual Off-Road Festival
Yes, it’s almost that time again for the roar of off-road vehicles and motorcycles to fill the Mesquite air. As you have read throughout this special section devoted to one of the western United States most exciting off-road festivals, the 3rd annual Mesquite Off-Road Weekend takes flight Feb. 20-22 and will attract thousands of racing fans and participants to Mesquite in addition to some of the world’s best racers.
The event was created by the executives and ownership of the Eureka Casino Resort and is supported by the Mesquite Resort Association and other local sponsors. Part of the reasoning behind investing in and creating Mesquite Off-Road Weekend was to drive new visitors to the area who will spend money and make a large financial impact on area businesses. Statistics over the last two years of the event reveal a major positive impact of visitation and spending and projections call for this year’s event to be the largest so far.
The Mesquite area features some of the top off-road trails in the world and hosting a world-class event in the city allows that story to be revealed and it is expected that off-road enthusiasts will not only flock to Mesquite for the weekend but return at other times during the year to experience a variety of amenities in the area from the resorts to trails to restaurants and everything else.
“The 3rd annual Mesquite Off-Road Weekend offers citizens and businesses of Mesquite, and the Eureka Casino Resort, the opportunity to welcome off-road enthusiasts to our city and show off everything we have to offer,” said Andre Carrier, General Manager, Eureka Casino Resort. “We believe that this event brings a new demographic of visitors that will embrace our area and enjoy everything that makes this a wonderful destination, especially for those that love watching and participating in racing.”
As sometimes is said, “Pardon our dust.” But when that dust settles, the entire area will be much the better for it.
Polaris World to Host Outdoor Off-Road Breakfast for OHV Enthusiasts
The old saying is, “there is no free lunch.” Well, when it comes to Mesquite Off-Road Weekend, there is a free breakfast. Polaris World Mesquite is hosting a free, outdoor breakfast on Sunday morning, Feb. 22 at 9 a.m. at the dealership on Hillside Dr./Hwy 91 as one of the official events of the 3rd annual Mesquite Off-Road Weekend. After the hearty meal (eggs, bacon, etc.), all OHV enthusiasts are welcome to follow along as Polaris World staff take off on two different trail rides across the diverse and unique Arizona off-road trail system.
“There are some of the best side-by-side trails in the world in and around Mesquite, Nev., and we can’t think of a better way than to cook a great breakfast for our fellow off-road hobbyists before they head out for their day on the trails,” said Rob Coats, Polaris World General Manager. “Our dealership has maps and other information available and we love to ride as much as anyone so people can join us if they want to on either an aggressive trail ride or a ride that everyone will enjoy that is less technical.”
Mesquite Off-Road Weekend organizers are providing a safe and legal passage way from the resort to the Polaris World dealership for those staying at the Eureka Casino Resort. For more information, visit MesquiteOffRoad.com/trail-rides or call 928.347.6027 to reserve your spot for the breakfast. Polaris World is an official sponsor of Mesquite Off-Road Weekend.
World-Class Racers to Throw Down on Unique Mesquite Track
Motocross legends and world champions will be tearing up the dirt and flying through the air in Mesquite during the 3rd annual Mesquite Off-Road Weekend on a unique track located at the Eureka Casino Resort. Race Director Bryan Green, the mastermind behind the on-course racing action including the insane Beyond Pro race that culminates the racing action on Saturday night, can’t stop talking about the level of racer that will be in Mesquite for the event.
“The caliber or rider that will be racing this year is very high level,” said Green. “We’ve proven ourselves during the first two years of the event and now we have the best of the best coming to race. We are thrilled to bring these world-class racers to town and with our VIP meet and greets and festival seating, every fan of racing can not only watch the best in the world but also get autographs or just say hello to them.”
Among the racers scheduled to hit the starting line for Mesquite Off-Road Weekend are Destry Abbott, “Cowboy” Kenny Bartram, Brett Cue, Nate Adams, Rory Sullivan and Colton Haaker, among others. All are champions and come from a Freestyle Motocross or EnduroCross background. In the Beyond Pro face, both racing styles are combined in the only race of its kind in the world.
“I’m super pumped to come back and defend my two titles, but also very nervous,” said Bartram, the two-time defending champion of the Beyond Pro race. “I know there is going to be some stiff competition this year with Brett Cue and Nate Adams, as well as the EnduroCross regulars who have had another year to practice their ramp skills. It’s going to be difficult to defend.”
Destry Abbott is a 5-time American Motorcyclist Association National Hare & Hound champion in addition to earn other major titles.
Nate Adams is a Freestyle MotoCross legend and a former gold medalist at ESPN’s X Games.
“Cowboy” Kenny Bartram is the winningest freestyle moto-crosser in history, and regarded as the Godfather of the sport.
Brett Cue brings the new generation flare to FMX and is known by some as “Mr. Whip.” He is popular on social media and industry films.
Colton Haaker is a world-class EnduroCross racer who recently won the prestigious King of the Motos EnduroCross race at “The Hammers” in Calif.
Rory Sullivan is a versatile racer who competes in X Games EnduroCross, the Baja 1000, and other national races.
