Dianna Scheierzke stands with several of her paintings that are currently on display at the Mesquite Fine Arts Gallery.

Dianna Schwierzke was born and raised in California. As a child her interest in art was sparked by her grandmother a gifted artist and art teacher who nurtured the gift of creativity in Dianna.  She now explores all possibilities when it comes to art and works in many mediums; watercolor, oil, acrylic, pastel and in the past 5 years ink on aluminum.  The common thread of a passion for color and love of nature are ever present in her work.  She has worked consistently as a professional artist for the last 30 years.

She married her husband, Peter–originally from Berlin, Germany, 51 years ago. They lived in the California gold country area until 2012 when they moved to Mesquite. Dianna relates that he has carried her work to many, many art shows over the years packing and unpacking it for her.  Her praise of him is high and she says without his help and encouragement she could not have done it.

Schwierzke has studied with many well known artists; Frank Webb, Don Andrews, Tony Couch, Brigit O’Connor, Greg Kondos and Alvaro Castagnet.

Diana joined the Mesquite Fine Arts Gallery when she moved to Mesquite in 2012 and has shown her work there on a regular basis since.  Her art work has been represented in many juried art exhibits and galleries and is a favorite for collectors in the United States and Europe.

Her work will be on display at the MFA Gallery at 15 West Mesquite Blvd. as the artist of the month for February.
