Mesquite Police Officers were dispatched to an armed robbery at the Terrible Herbst service station located at 810 W Mesquite Boulevard Sunday, January 25, 2015 at approximately 8:39 p.m.
The store clerk was able to dial 911 once the armed suspect left the store. Officers quickly arrived and began a thorough investigation. Physical evidence was collected from the scene and the Investigative Services Division was following multiple leads.
The suspect was identified as a white male adult approximately 5-06 or 5-07 and weighing approximately 160 – 180 lbs. The suspect had a black ski mask, blue bandana, black sweat shirt, pink undershirt, dark jeans, and brown boots. The suspect was also in possession of a black semi-automatic handgun.
On Monday, January 26, 2015 Mesquite Police Officers and Detectives arrested and charged 21 year old Mesquite resident, Colton Miller for robbery with a deadly weapon and burglary. Miller confessed to investigators informing them he was intoxicated during the commission of the crime. The weapon used during the crime was located and identified as an air soft gun. The black ski mask Miller used to cover his face was also located and taken as evidence.
Miller will be transported to Clark County Detention Center for his felony charges.
