The tenth annual ‘Golf for Kids’ fund raiser was again a huge success.

The annual event had 556 golfers teeing off at Conestoga, The Palms, the Canyons and Falcon Ridge golf courses. Each player made a donation of $50 dollars or an equivalent toy to compete. The course play fees were donated by the individual golf courses.

The event has raised approximately $400,000 dollars in the past 10 year,s benefiting children from Beaver Dam, Mesquite  and the Moapa Valley areas.

Event co-founder Rob Wursten said,” we wish to thank the Golf courses, Mesquite Gaming, Legacy construction, Eureka Hotel Casino and the Mesquite Police and Fire Departments for all they have done. Also, the Virgin Valley High School Interactive club for setting up the tents and shopping for gifts with donated Gift Cards.”

The golfers were treated to a lunch at the CasaBlanca’s tent and prizes donated by the community were distributed to winners of the tournament. The Salvation Army will distribute the toys and the excess will go throughout the communities next week.
