To the Editor:

As a candidate for Trustee of the Overton Power District at large seat, I was pleased to participate in the two Candidate Forums on October 8. The lunchtime forum sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce was well run, and the questions asked by Chamber Chairman and moderator Blake Syndergaard were fair and gave each candidate opportunity to comment on important issues. Thank you Blake, and all of the people who worked on this event.

The evening forum hosted by Cory Clemetson and Wolf Creek Golf Course was outstanding. Thanks to Cory and his staff for the gracious and generous hospitality. The highlight of the evening was the session with Congressman Steven Horsford and Assemblyman Crescent Hardy. It was an honor to be in the opening act for these gentlemen. Mayor Al Litman was a very effective moderator, and the questions from the three media persons were fair and interesting. Thank you Mike Donahue of the Desert Valley Times, Stephanie Frehner of the Mesquite Local News and John Williams from Let’s Talk Nevada. And thanks to all of the candidates who participated.
