Mesa View Regional Hospital is pleased to welcome general surgeon George Hahm, M.D., as an independent member of the medical staff. Dr. Hahm recently moved his family to Mesquite from Virginia, where he practiced at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth. “We are excited about living in Mesquite and making this our home,” commented Hahm. “I look forward to working with Dr. Zinni and expanding general surgery services in the community,” he continued. Dr. Hahm is certified by the American Board of Surgery.
Dr. Hahm completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from the University of Washington. He earned his Master of Health Science in Molecular Microbiology and Immunology from Johns Hopkins University, and his M.D. from Saint Louis University School of Medicine. Dr. Hahm completed his internship in General Surgery at Naval Medical Center in San Diego and General Surgery residency at National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, during which time he cared for the war wounded.
Upon completion of his General Surgical training, Dr. Hahm served as the ship’s surgeon for USS Harry S Truman and George H.W. Bush in the Persian Gulf. Most recently, Dr. Hahm has been a staff surgeon at Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, VA where he was actively involved in the training of general surgery residents and medical students. While at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, Dr. Hahm deployed to Afghanistan as the senior general surgeon at Forward Operating Base Shukvani and Camp Leatherneck.

When he is not in surgery, Dr. Hahm enjoys spending time with his wife and son. Additionally, he enjoys golf, travelling, skiing, snowboarding and riding his motorcycle.
