To the Editor:
I would like to take this opportunity to apologize to the mayor, city council and the citizens of Mesquite for wasting your time at the city council meeting on Feb 25. When I was appointed to the Road/Dump Committee for Highland Hills Subdivision and asked to do the incredible amount of research required of me, I assumed the powers that be, i.e. the Highland Hills Homeowners Association was serious about resolving the issues with the old Mesquite City Dump in a timely manner. My assumptions were incorrect. Again, I apologize wholeheartedly to all for wasting the valuable time allotted for citizen input during the city council meeting.
