MVRH logo_0Mesquite families are continuing to grow as they welcome their newborns into the world at Mesa View Regional Hospital, according to Robert Fuller,  Mesa View’s director of business development.

Over the past year, more than 90 women have given birth at the hospital and total deliveries are expected to reach 100 by the end of the year, Fuller added.  In 2012, 137 families grew through deliveries in Mesquite.

Fuller proved testimonials from former patients. “Mesa View is a wonderful place to have a baby, and the nurses and staff here are awesome,” said Heather Humes, who delivered the first baby of 2013 at Mesa View Regional Hospital. “This is our fourth baby, and I wish the other three could have been born here! I would come back here in a heartbeat!”

Mesquite residents Dan and Mindi Wright agreed. “We have had four children at three different hospitals. Our last two children were delivered at Mesa View Regional Hospital and the whole experience was far superior to the other two hospitals. The care received by the doctor and nurses was spectacular – we felt like family while at Mesa View.”

“From young lady to the young at heart, Mesa View offers a broad range of women’s health services including; obstetrics, GYN and laparoscopic surgery, digital mammography, bone density testing and diagnostic imaging,” Fuller added.

Mesa View CEO Patty Holden said. “Our obstetrical staff maintains their skills through ongoing education and annual demonstrations to sustain our quality of care. As fewer babies are being delivered here, we are also focused on working with Dr. (Edward) Ofori to develop a comprehensive Women’s Health program.

“Being a rural hospital, we have to be selective in our services and leave some to be provided by larger hospitals. The advantage to our size is the personalized service you receive along with quality care – caring for each patient is our priority at Mesa View. We look forward to 2014, new physicians, new technology and new services,” Holden added.

Mesa View Regional Hospital is a 25-bed facility which provides a full range of inpatient and outpatient hospital services including an Intensive Care Unit, Medical, Surgical, Orthopedics – Total Joint and Sports Medicine Program, Women’s Health, Laboratory, Cardiopulmonary Testing, Imaging and Emergency Medicine Services.

The Joint Commission has recognized Mesa View as a Top Performer on Key Quality Measures. The Joint Commission was formerly known as the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and previous to that the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Hospitals.
