Randy Black has retired as Chief Operating Officer of Mesquite Gaming, it was announced to employees of the CasaBlanca and Virgin River Casinos on Monday, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported in today’s edition.
Black became COO of Mesquite Gaming in 2011 after the bankruptcy reorganization of Black Gaming, which owned the Casa Blanca, Virgin River and shuttered Oasis Hotel and Casino and the Star Hotel.
He maintained a 10-percent holding in Mesquite Gaming.
Mesquite Gaming Chief Executive Officer Anthony Toti, who owns 25 percent of the corporation, said in a memo that Black was “looking forward to putting his considerable energies in new directions and spending more quality time with his family.”
He added that Black had “been an invaluable part of the company for 23 years.”
