National School Supply Drive Month

Sandra Ramaker, City Councilwoman, along with The Department of Athletics and Leisure Services is hosting a few site locations to help the youth and teachers of the valley with the National School Supply Drive for July.

After a year like no other, teachers and students nationwide are gearing up for a busier school year than ever. Sandra Ramaker says, “We are extremely excited for the school year. We need to help supply teachers with all they need to plan for a successful academic year!

For those individuals passionate about supporting teachers and students in our local schools across our valley, we will be giving all of the donated supplies to the teachers to help them with the children. “Coming off of a school year that presented an array of challenges, this is an opportunity for individuals and the wonderful community we live in to come together to support the cause: ensuring all teachers and students have the supplies they need to learn”. Ramaker added.

“We’re honored to partner with National School Supply Month on this important initiative,” said Nicholas Montoya, Athletics & Leisure Services Director for the City of Mesquite. “As students return to the classroom for the upcoming year, it’s imperative that teachers and the students have the supplies they need to learn and be successful.” Montoya Added.
