MESQUITE, NV – On November 5, 2025, at approximately 11:45 p.m., Mesquite Police officers responded to reports of gunfire near the 200 block of Riverside Road. Multiple callers reported hearing several shots in the area.

Officers arrived and heard additional gunshots coming from nearby apartments and quickly began searching for suspects and potential victims. Evidence of gunfire, including spent shell casings, live rounds, and bullet impacts, was located on Moss Drive. Several rounds struck the front window of a nearby residence, penetrating the home. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

A parked vehicle, which appeared to be targeted, was also struck by gunfire, with a bullet entering through the rear window and coming to rest in the driver’s seat.

While officers were investigating, witnesses reported seeing two males dressed in dark clothing near the Summer Wind Apartments. Officers quickly responded and located three individuals matching the description walking along Riverside Road. When officers attempted to contact them, all three fled on foot.

After short foot pursuits, officers apprehended two juvenile males and one adult male. The adult male suspect was found to have an active arrest warrant and was also in possession of ammunition.

Detectives and a crime scene investigator from the Mesquite Police Department responded and assisted in processing and collecting evidence from multiple locations and multiple victims. Detectives also recovered a handgun, which was discarded by the suspects during the foot pursuit, and which was believed to be used in the incident. The police investigation determined that the three suspects had conspired to commit a home invasion and discharge a firearm into the occupied residence and nearby vehicle.

Jerimiah John Mccombs, 19, of Mesquite, NV, was arrested and charged with: Home Invasion, Conspiracy to Commit Home Invasion, Obstruction, and Conspiracy to Discharge a Firearm. Jerimiah was transported and booked into the Clark County Detention Center.

Two juvenile males were also arrested and charged with various crimes as a result of the investigation.

The Mesquite Police Department would like to thank the community members who quickly reported the gunfire and provided valuable information during an active and dangerous incident that led to the safe apprehension of these three criminals.
