The Mesquite Community Education Foundation is hosting the “Back to the Good Old Days” fund-raising event on Tuesday, March 25, at Virgin Valley High.
The event is scheduled from 5-8:30 p.m. and includes raffle prizes, silent auction items and dance and musical entertainment. All proceeds from the event will go to scholarship awards for Virgin Valley High School seniors.
Tickets are $25 for singles and $35 for couples and are available in advance at Danielle’s Chocolates & Popcorn, 599 W. Mesquite Blvd.; the Mesquite Recreation Center, 100 W. Old Mill Road; and at the high school, 820 Valley View Drive.
The Mesquite Community Education Foundation’s goal is to provide funding and support in the form of scholarships for worthy candidates; to review scholarship applications and facilitate disbursal for VVHS graduates based on needs; organize numerous fund-raising events; solicit support from local merchants and individuals; volunteer at local events to raise money; and give time and resources to boost local student scholarship funding.
