I find no good way to describe the Joe Biden presidency. So, if I were to follow my mother’s advice (“if you can’t say anything nice…”) this column would end here.

But, I can’t not say anything. It’s an occupational hazard kind of thing.

Look, Mr. Biden botched COVID, he fumbled the Afghanistan withdrawal, led us into a stupid (and expensive) shooting war with Russia over a long-standing boundary dispute in the Ukraine, tried to play both sides in the Middle East, poured gasoline on the fire of illegal immigration, and 100% spiked inflation, making life harder for all Americans, especially the poor.

So, sorry mom, I gotta tell the truth: The Biden years were pretty darn rough.

They resembled a dark Batman movie complete with the whole Gotham City corruption vibe. But in this version, the commissioner can’t remember how to activate the bat signal.

Goodbye, Joe. Thanks very little.

UPGRADE

The embarrassing response — or lack thereof — by the Biden Administration to the drone sightings in New Jersey and multiple other states reminds me to point out one of the common denominators of Donald Trump’s picks for key Administration posts: The excellent ability to communicate.

The failure to speak clearly to the American public has been a problem for the Biden Administration. We saw it with all of the issues of the day – COVID, the border and the economy.

Trump’s picks, however, seem to have the gift of communication.

Pete Hegseth, Tulsi Gabbard and Tom Holman are good examples of this. They seem comfortable talking to the media. Can you imagine any of them getting in front of the cameras and sounding as silly as Biden’s Homeland Security Secretary, Alejandro Mayorkas?

He tells us the federal government doesn’t have a clue where all these drones are coming from, but he’s 100% sure they pose no threat.

Aside from that statement making no sense on its face, he’s also the guy who told us the border was “secure.”
