Here is information on upcoming events in Washington County in September and October.
September TBD – Reopening of the St. George Tabernacle for tours and performances.
September 7 is the National Day of Service. Lots of projects will be happening all over Washington County. The Interfaith Council also has a project they are doing. Food drives, trail clean up and others. The service projects are posted on JustServe.org.
September 14 is the Dia de Hispanidad (Resource Fair) Comida Gratis. Musica. 11-3pm at Hurricane Community Center.
September 30 is the JustServe Community Volunteer Fair at the Utah Tech University Gardner Ballroom. 3-7pm. Over 30 booths of non-profits hoping to engage community members to sign up with these organizations and volunteer. Building unity through community service. https://www.
October 22 is the Connect the Dots (Community Services) Summit.

You are invited to attend Health Choice Utah’s 2024 Southern Utah Connect the Dots Summit.
Date: Tuesday – October 22, 2024
Time: 8:00am to 3:30pm
Location: East Stake Center, 449 South 300 East St. George, UT 84770.
This year’s Connect the Dots Summit offers 16 classes on many Social Determines of Health topics. Each class is 45 minutes with a 15-minute break in-between for networking. We ask that attendees come ready to engage and connect with other attendees to build a strong community resource network that will strengthen the communities in Southern Utah.
This is for people who directly work with those in need of services that affect housing, finances, mental and physical health, insurance, abuse, addiction, etc. You can see that the classes are geared to those on the front line. The classes will also be offered over zoom.
As always, there is no cost to attend the Health Choice Utah Connect the Dots Summit. However, we are requesting attendees to donate: Can-good, personal hygiene or cleaning supply of a $5 value or more. All donations will be given to a local community organization. A light breakfast and lunch will be provided.
