Wednesday, Aug. 21 online webinar will provide details and qualification requirements of the Launchpad Homeownership Program by Nevada Rural Housing.
RENO, NEV. (Aug. 20, 2024) – The Launchpad Homeownership Program by Nevada Rural Housing offers funds to first-time homebuyers to help make affordable homeownership in rural Nevada communities a reality. As an approved program lender, Greater Nevada Mortgage is working with NRH to highlight the program for Nevadans statewide. Launchpad opened in May 2024 with $25 million in mortgage funds available for down payment assistance and due to demand, remaining funds are limited.
WHAT: Launchpad was established to help lenders and borrowers make rural homeownership more affordable, and is available to areas across Nevada with a population below 150,000. The program provides 4% down payment assistance, paired with a 6.17% interest rate offered on a 30-year fixed-rate government-backed loan to first-time homebuyers and qualifying veterans. GNM and NRH will host a webinar with more information on the program and how homebuyers can qualify.
WHO: Kevin Hickey, homeownership programs manager at NRH and Tom Marron, area manager at GNM will provide webinar participants with information including program details, funding amounts available for homebuyers and qualification requirements. Participants will also have the opportunity to ask questions.
