Mesquite, NV –On November 15, at approximately 5:15 p.m., Mesquite Police responded to an injury accident at the Oasis Blvd. and Ivy Lee Crest roundabout. A 69-year-old male was walking eastbound at the entrance to the roundabout when he was struck by a vehicle traveling northbound on Oasis Blvd. Mesquite Police and Fire Units quickly arrived on scene and began life-saving efforts.
The pedestrian was transported to Mesa View Regional Hospital. Unfortunately, all life-saving efforts were unsuccessful, and the pedestrian was pronounced deceased. His name will be released at a later time by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
Due to the pedestrian fatality, the Nevada Highway Patrol Multidisciplinary Investigation & Reconstruction Team assisted Mesquite Police in the accident reconstruction.
Further details of the accident will be released pending the final report from NHP.
