With few exceptions, it’s virtually assured the first topic in any conversation in Mesquite these days is about the sweltering heat wave gripping the city.

Logan Hendrick

And one of those rare exceptions is at the Virgin River Bowling Center where the primary chatter centers on the scorching-hot strike ball Logan Hendrick displayed in blistering the lanes with 25 strikes in City High Roller summer league action en route to shooting personal-best scores in winding up a stunning freshman season of bowling.
For starters, he opened league play with a 240 game, and followed by lighting up the scoring monitors with 11 straight strikes putting him a strike away from the pinnacle of bowling success.
However, a light hit in the 1-3 pocket on his final shot resulted in a 2-10 split derailing a determined bid for his first perfecto, but still giving him a career-high 298 game.
A great game, but still an understandable disappointment. However, after totaling up the pin count of his first two games he saw the possibility still existed of shooting a jaw-dropping 800 series with a  262 third game. And he’s proven he can hang some big games at the VRBC.
However, open frames on a trio of splits put the kibosh on a possible 800 set as he finished with a 180 effort. But the good news is he rolled his first-ever 700 series, a 718 with 25 strikes
He first took up the sport in the 2022-23 season, is one of the young guns who generates a ton of revs with a two-handed delivery, is currently averaging an impressive 193 in his summer league, and a winning bet is his 700 is the first of more that will surely follow, and so will more gargantuan games.
Hendrick graduated in 2020 from Virgin Valley High School where he was a top-notch tennis and track & field athlete, has flown a helicopter, and is a tech whiz.
