Mesquite Night Out Returns for 2021

The Mesquite Police Department is thrilled to once again sponsor Mesquite Night Out. This year’s event will take place on Wednesday, September 22nd on  the West field of the Mesquite Rec Center. The event will begin with a parade of  emergency vehicles leaving the Oasis parking lot at 5:15 and arriving at the Rec Center  by 5:30 p.m. Each year kids of all ages enjoy waiting on the Rec Center field to  experience the arrival of the emergency vehicles with the flashing lights, blaring sirens,  and the landing of the Mercy Air helicopter. This event, which is free for everyone and  open to the public, will last until 8 p.m.

The goal of Mesquite Night Out is to bring community and public safety agencies closer  together through crime prevention and drug prevention awareness, generate support  and participation in local anti-crime efforts, as well as strengthen our neighborhoods and  police-community partnerships. Many non-profit agencies also take part in the event and  will be available to answer questions on services offered in Northeast Clark County.

There will be demonstrations by the police and fire departments, pedal car races, games  and lots of information. As they have done for several years, the Elks Lodge will provide  free hot dogs (while supplies last) for everyone in attendance. For more information and  continued updates, follow us on Facebook at Mesquite NV Police.

If your organization is interested in participating in this year’s Mesquite Night Out and  would like to reserve booth space, please email policerecords@mesquitenv.gov with  “Mesquite Night Out” in the subject line. Deadline for registration is September 20th
