Former Nevada Attorney General Adam Paul Laxalt announced that United States Congresswoman Michelle Steel has joined the roster of speakers for Morning in Nevada PAC’s 6th Annual Basque Fry.

Steel, a Republican who represents California’s 48th District, took office in January of this year, joining Young Kim and Marilyn Strickland as the first Korean-American women to serve in the U.S. Congress. Steel was born in South Korea and came to the U.S. as a young adult along with her mother and two younger sisters.

She served previously on the Orange County Board of Supervisors and the California State Board of Equalization before being elected to Congress in 2020.

In addition to Steel, the Basque Fry speaker lineup also includes Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, U.S. Sen. Tom Cotton, the Honorable Richard Grenell, American Conservative Union Chairman Matt Schlapp, Club for Growth President David McIntosh, and entrepreneur and “Woke, Inc.” author Vivek Ramaswamy.

The event will be held on Saturday, August 14, 2021, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Corley Ranch- 859 US Highway 395 South, Gardnerville, Nevada
