Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. There were 216 calls this week:

Dec. 1:

Lost Property: Officer took a report of a lost cell phone.

Lost Property: A report of a lost property was taken at the Police department.

Traffic Stop: Officer observed traffic offenses. Upon conducting a traffic stop, the driver

was shown to be intoxicated and arrested for DUI.

Traffic Stop: An officer conducted a traffic stop for traffic violations. During the traffic stop the officer developed reasonable suspicion of major criminal activity. A drug sniffing K9 was deployed and gave a positive alert to the odor of illegal narcotics. During a search of the vehicle 4.8lbs of marijuana was located. Two males were arrested for felony possession of marijuana.

Suicidal Person: Officers responded to a reported suicidal subject. The adult male had no plans

to harm himself. A report was completed.

Missing Person: Officers completed a missing person report.

Dec. 2:

Traffic accident W/O injury: Officer responded to a two-vehicle accident without injuries. One citation was issued.

Burglary: An officer gathered information on report of a residential burglary on Vineyard Ln.

Fighting: Officers responded to a suspicious male in a red truck. Upon locating the individual, investigation resulted he was DUI/ drugs and was taken into custody. The individual was also cited for smoking marijuana in a public place.

Traffic Stop: An officer conducted a traffic stop for a traffic violation. One male was arrested for DUI drugs and was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and heroin. The male was charged with possession of heroin with the intent to sale and trafficking methamphetamine. One female who had a warrant out of Las Vegas Justice Court was arrested for an open container of alcohol in a vehicle. One male was cited and released for an open container of alcohol in a vehicle.

Dec. 3:

Theft: Officers responded to a construction site on Dairy Ln. and took a report of a theft.

Suspicious Person: Officer took a report of attempted fraud.

 

Domestic Violence: Officers responded to a Sun Valley Dr. residence reference a domestic battery. One male adult was arrested.

Traffic Stop: Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic offense. The adult male passenger was arrested for an outstanding bench warrant out of Mesquite Municipal Court.

Wanted Person: An adult male was placed under arrest for an active arrest warrant. The warrant

was confirmed and the subject was transported to Mesquite Detention Center and booked.

Intoxicated Person: Officers responded to a casino on an intoxicated adult male. The male was

arrested for trespassing.

Dec. 4:

Suspicious person: Officers responded to a business for a report of a suspicious male inside a vehicle. Officers arrested an adult male and female for multiple felony charges. They were taken Mesquite Detention Center and later transported to Clark County Detention center and booked on the charges.

Suspicious Person: Officer responded to a report of gift card fraud.

Found Property: Officers responded to a found property call. Property was collected and report

was completed.

Domestic Violence: Officers responded to a residence in reference to a domestic disturbance. One

male adult was arrested for domestic battery.

Dec. 5:

Suspicious Vehicle: Officers towed a vehicle from a public road which was in direct violation of a Mesquite City Code.

Found Property: Officer responded to local business to receive found property items.

Person on Foot: Officer issued a juvenile male a citation for drug paraphernalia.

Theft: Officers responded to a local business in reference to a theft.

Custody Issue: Officers were dispatched to a local address, in reference to a custody issue.

Domestic Trouble: Officers were dispatched to a Shade Tree Ln. address, in reference to a domestic battery.  An adult male subject was later taken into custody for domestic battery (1st

offense).

Traffic Stop: Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. One male adult was arrested on multiple drug charges.

Dec. 6:

Suspicious Person: Officers responded to a local grocery store, in reference to a suspicious person

call, involving multiple adult subjects.  An adult male subject was taken into custody for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Theft: Officers responded to a local store in reference to a theft. One adult female was issued a citation for five counts of petit larceny.

Stolen Vehicle: Officers took a report for a camper trailer that was stolen from Auto Mall Circle.

Traffic accident W/O injury: Officers responded to a two vehicle accident with no injuries.

Traffic Stop: An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic offense.  The driver, an adult male subject, had a misdemeanor warrant out of Las Vegas.  Due to the warrant, the driver was taken into custody for several traffic offenses, rather than issued a citation and released.

Person on Foot: Officers stopped a male on foot who was known to have multiple warrants. The male was arrested on the warrants.

Theft from Vehicle: Officer responded to an E Pioneer Blvd. casino and took a report of a theft from vehicle. The

investigation is on-going.

Dec. 7:

Found Property: Officer found eyeglasses and case in the street near a park. No one in the area claimed the glasses which will be held for safe keeping until claimed by the rightful owner.

Minor Gambling: A minor was cited and released for minor gambling at a casino.

Wanted Person: An adult male was taken into custody for an active bench warrant. He was booked

into the Mesquite Detention Center.

DUI: Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation. The adult

male driver was arrested for driving under the influence and other traffic related offenses.
