Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. There were 174 calls this week:

Nov. 17:

Property Damage, Non-Vandalism: Report of damage to a parked car in residents’ driveway.

Found Property: An officer responded to report of found property. The items were collected for

safe keeping.

Assault/Battery: Officers responded to a report of a threatening involving a knife. Both victim

and suspect were gone upon officer’s arrival.

Mental Person: Officer arrested an adult female for multiple calls to 911 for non-emergency

purposes within a 24-hour period.

Miscellaneous CAD Call Record: An officer gathered information on a suspicious male in a local apartment complex.

Assault/Battery: An officer gathered information on a battery that occurred earlier in the day.

Vandalism: An officer responded to a Jensen Dr. residence on a report of vandalism. A report was taken for the incident.

Nov. 18:

Traffic Stop: Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation. The adult male driver was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Property Damage, Non-Vandalism: An officer gathered information on a damaged property report on Jensen Dr.

Found Property: An officer received found property and booked it into evidence for safe keeping.

Lost Property: An officer gathered information on a lost property report.

Suspicious Person/Circumstance: Officer spoke with an adult female who wanted to report an unknown male attempting to offer ice cream to her child.

Lost Property: An officer gathered information on report of lost property.

Lost Property: Officers responded to the Mesquite Police Department and took a report of lost

property.

Wanted Person: Officers were approached by a male adult who wanted to verify if he had any warrants. The male adult was arrested for his warrants.

Threatening: Officers responded to a residence and took a report of an alleged threat.

Agency Assistance: A report was taken for an elderly male who just passed way. Mesquite Fire and Rescued arrived on scene and confirmed of a death of the male.

Nov. 19:

Parking Problem: While on patrol, Officer observed two vehicles parked in a public park after hours and where there is a sign which states here is no parking unless given permission and a curfew in the park between 12:00 AM and 04:00 AM.

Found Property: Officers responded to a fast food restaurant and located a lost wallet.

Found Property: Officer responded to a local residence on a report of found property. After conducting a standard record check, it was determined the item was reported stolen out of another state. Item was recovered.

Traffic Accident w/ Injuries: Officers responded to a traffic accident on the roadway involving two vehicles. No injuries were reported.

Controlled Substance Problem: An officer conducted a traffic stop for a traffic violation. While speaking withthe occupants of the vehicle the officer developed reasonable suspicion ofcriminal activity. A drug sniffing K9 was deployed and gave a positive alert to the odor of illegal narcotics. Upon searching the vehicle methamphetamine and heroin were located inside the vehicle. Two males were arrested for felony possession of illegal narcotics.

Nov.20:

Traffic accident W/O injury: Officers responded to a 2-vehicle accident. The at fault vehicle was cited for failure to stop at a red light.

Suspicious Person/Circumstance: Officer completed a follow up call on a child protective service case.

Traffic accident W/O injury: Officers took a report for a 2-vehicle accident. The driver of the at fault vehicle was cited for failure to right of way while making a left turn.

Traffic accident W/O injury: Officer completed a private property accident report.

Graffiti: Officers responded to a report of graffiti on City property.

Fraud: Officer took a report from local citizen which was a victim of fraud.

Hit & Run: Officers took a report of a private property accident. One male was cited and released for hit and run.

Nov. 21:

Controlled Substance Problem: Officer conducted a traffic stop and discovered the driver concealing prescription pills, one male was arrested.

Trespassing: Mesquite Officers responded to a local casino reference a male adult who was trespassing.

Traffic accident W/O injury: Officer completed a hit and run accident report.

Wanted Person: Officers arrested a male who had a warrant out of Mesquite Justice Court.

Nov.22:

Trespassing: An officer was dispatched to a local casino, in reference to an intoxicated person refusing to leave the property, after being trespassed.  An adult female subject was later taken into custody for DUI-Alcohol (1st offense).

Lost Property: Officer took a report of lost property from individuals who stayed at a local casino.

Theft: A male adult was arrested for burglary and a female adult was arrested for petit larceny.

Theft: Officer responded to Wal-Mart to follow up on a theft investigation.

Non-LEO Incident: An officer completed a search on a female adult and no illegal substances were located.

Minor Gambling: An officer was dispatched to a local casino, in reference to a minor gambling. An adult male subject was cited and released for minor gambling.

Nov.23:

Trespassing: Officers responded to a casino reference a trespass violator. One male adult was

issued a citation and released.
