The University of Nevada’s Cooperative Extension (UNCE) is the outreach unit of the University that brings you information to solve problems and deal with critical issues. They have 18 offices to serve you, whether you live on a ranch near the remote Rubies or in an urban setting in Las Vegas their more than 200 personnel, with the help of volunteers, deliver non-degree, educational programs in many areas. On Friday Aug. 16, the UNCE, in conjunction with Clark County Library, will offer a Master Gardening Class, free to the public, which will give you valuable information and ideas for desert gardening; the class will be held at the library from 1-3 p.m.

Enjoy free appetizers and door prizes! Browse tables of local businesses, clubs, and organizations at the Mesquite Meet and Greet Event on Saturday, August 17, from 5:30-7 p.m. at the Oasis Bar & Grille, 100 Palmer Ln.
This is a free social event for residents to meet each other and for local businesses, clubs, and organizations to greet the community.
There will be an Earthquake awareness presentation and Mesquite Salvation Army 50/50 raffle
