Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. There were 158 calls this week:

May 26:

Controlled Substance Problem: Officer observed a suspicious vehicle at a local business. Two subjects were arrested for possession of a controlled substance.

Civil Matter: An officer responded to a parking lot on a property damage call.

Wanted Person: Officer conducted a traffic stop on a suspicious vehicle. One male subject was

arrested on an active bench warrant.

Wanted Person: Responded to report of an intoxicated person. Contacted subject who was arrested for active bench warrant.

Theft: A report was taken for a stolen bicycle.

Domestic Violence: Officers responded to a Pulsipher Ln. residence on a call of a domestic in progress. One adult male was arrested for domestic battery.

Wanted Person: An adult male was arrested for an out of state felony warrant. The warrant was confirmed. He was transported to Mesquite Detention Center to await transportation to Clark County Detention Center.

Driving Under the Influence: Officers responded to a private property accident, One adult male was arrested for DUI.

May 27:

Theft: Officers arrested an adult male for Grand Larceny.

Domestic Trouble: Officers responded to a domestic dispute involving property damage. One adult

male was arrested.

Stolen Vehicle: Officer took a report of a stolen vehicle and the vehicle was entered into NCIC

as stolen.

May 28:

Vandalism: Officer took a report of graffiti. The investigation is ongoing.

Fraud: Officers arrested an adult female for Fraudulent use of a Debit Card.

Court Order: Officers made contact with an adult male who had failed to register as felon in

the City of Mesquite.

Traffic Stop: An officer conducted a traffic stop for traffic violations and subsequently

arrested the vehicle’s passenger for violation of a protective order on the

driver of the vehicle.

Juvenile Problem: Officer responded to the local recreation center reference a juvenile problem. A

report was taken.

Missing Person: An officer received a report of a 78-year-old male who had left home after an

argument and not returned.

Wanted Person: An adult female was taken into custody for an active bench warrants. She was

booked into the Mesquite Detention Center on the warrant.

May 29:

Trespassing: A male adult was arrested for trespassing.

Sexual Assault: Mesquite officer responded to a local business reference a citizen assist.

Miscellaneous CAD Call Record: Officers responded to a call reference a protective order violation. A report was completed.

Hit & Run: Officers responded to a hit & run incident. One male adult was cited.

May 30:

Trespassing: Officers responded to a casino in reference to a trespass violation.

One male adult was cited and left the property without any other incidents.

 

 

Robbery: Officers responded to a W. Mesquite Blvd. gas station reference a robbery. The case is currently being investigated.

Robbery: Officers responded to a N. Sandhill Blvd. gas station reference an attempted robbery. The case is currently being investigated.

Hit & Run: Officers responded to the hospital reference a hit and run involving a

pedestrian. There are no suspects currently.

May 31:

Theft: Officers responded to a residence reference a theft from an E. Pioneer Blvd.  casino.

Controlled Substance Problem: Officers responded to an E. Mesquite Blvd. motel reference possible drug activity. The subjects were identified, and the incident was documented.

Traffic Stop: Officers conducted a traffic stop for speeding. One male adult was arrested for

Obstructing and traffic violations.

Trespassing: Officers responded to a casino on a call of a trespass violator, one male was

issued a citation for trespass.

Domestic Trouble: Officers responded to a Grapevine Dr. residence on a call of a domestic battery.  One male was arrested for domestic battery (1st).

June 1:

Controlled Substance Problem: Officers observed a suspicious vehicle parked on the shoulder of the road. Officers contacted the male and female occupants of the vehicle. The male adult occupant was cited and released for the possession of drug paraphernalia.

Fraud: Officers responded to a local business and took a report of counterfeit bills

being used.

Intoxicated Person: Officers responded to a complex in reference to an intoxication. Three males

were issued a citation for adult/minor in consumption of alcohol.
