Police Blotter May 5-11, 2019

Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. There were 208 calls this week:

Suspicious person: Officers responded to a suspicious person lying in the road. One male was

arrested for intoxicated person in the roadway.

Theft from vehicle: Officers took a report for auto burglary that happened overnight.

Sex Offense: Officer observed a male subject who had failed to register as a sex offender.

Subject was taken into custody without incident.

Hit & Run: Officer completed a report of a hit and run.

Theft from vehicle: Officers took an auto burglary report that occurred overnight on Gazlay Ct.

Theft from vehicle: Officers took a report for an auto burglary that occurred overnight on Vista Del Ciudad Dr.

Theft from vehicle: Officers took a report for an auto burglary that occurred overnight on Chaparral Dr.

Theft from vehicle: Officers took a report for an auto burglary that occurred overnight on Vista Del Ciudad Dr.

Hit & Run: Officer completed a report of a hit and run accident that occurred in a parking

lot.

Mental person: Officers responded to a residence in reference to a mental subject. One female

was transported to the hospital for a mental evaluation.

Disorderly conduct: Officers cited one male adult for breach of peace.

May 6:

Property damage, non-vandalism: Officers arrested an adult male for vandalizing a local restaurant.

Wanted person: Officer conducted a traffic stop for illegal U-turn. Driver was then arrested

for a warrant.

Phone harassment: Officers responded to a W. Pioneer Blvd.  business on a report of harassment. Subject was located at an adjacent convenience store and arrested for several violations.

Traffic accident w/ injuries: Officers responded to a traffic accident involving two vehicles.

Theft from vehicle: Officer took a report of a wallet taken from inside a motor vehicle.

Minor gambling: Officer issued a male a citation for minor gambling and released him with a

court date.

May 7:

Sexual assault: Officer took a report from CPS regarding a sexual assault.

Fraud: Officers took a report for an adult male that was the victim of a scam.

May 8:

Trespassing: A female was issued a citation for trespassing and released with a court date.

Theft from vehicle: Officer responded to a Grande Vista Cir. residence for a report of a theft from a vehicle. Investigation is ongoing.

Wanted person: Officers located a female with an active warrant out of the Mesquite Municipal Court. One adult female was booked into the Mesquite Detention Center for the

warrant.

Domestic trouble: Officers responded to the Mesquite Justice Facility reference a past domestic

Property damage, non-vandalism: An officer responded to a residence reference a report of vandalism. A report

was taken for the incident.

May 9:

Theft from vehicle: Officers took a report of a theft from a motor vehicle on Manchester Ln. There are no other leads at this time.

Fraud: An officer took a report of a credit card fraud.

Traffic accident w/o injury: Officer responded to a report of a vehicle accident. Officer completed a traffic accident report and the drive at fault was issued a citation.

Trespassing: Officers responded to an apartment complex to assist in trespassing a juvenile male. One male juvenile was cited for breach of peace.

Dead body: Officers responded to a call of an agency assist. A deceased person investigation was conducted.

Battery on person: An officer was dispatched to a Riverside Rd. address, in reference to a battery.

Intoxicated person: Officers responded and took a report of a verbal disturbance.

May 10:

Wanted person: Officers contacted a male who had a local warrant. The male was arrested for the warrant.

Traffic stop: Officers conducted a traffic stop for a traffic violation. Upon investigation one male was found to be in possession of multiple identifications. The identifications were seized by officers.

May 11:

Traffic stop: Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle. One male adult was arrested for

drug paraphernalia and traffic charges.

Animal complaint: Officers responded to a N. Yucca St. residence for an animal problem. One adult male was arrested for animal cruelty.

Trespassing: Officer responded to a business reference a trespass. One adult male was issued a citation for trespassing.

Traffic accident w/o injury: Officer responded to a motor vehicle accident involving two vehicles. A report was completed and the at fault driver was issued a traffic citation.

DUI: Officers arrested a female for driving under the influence, and related traffic

offenses.

Theft: Officers responded to a local store in reference to a theft. A report of the theft was completed.

Wanted person: An adult male was taken into custody for an active bench warrants. He was booked into the Mesquite Detention Center on the warrants.

Traffic accident w/o injury: Officers responded to a report of a two vehicle non-injury accident. Officer

completed a traffic report.

Traffic stop: A female was issued a citation for an open container of alcohol inside a vehicle and released.

Domestic violence: Officers took a domestic battery report.

Traffic stop: Officers conducted a traffic stop for a speeding violation. The female driver

was arrested for DUI.
