Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. There were 156 calls this week:

March 31:

Suspicious person: Officers made contact with an adult male had a fugitive warrant out of another

state for escaping. He was placed under arrest and transported.

Traffic accident w/o injury: Officers responded to a two vehicle accident with no injuries. A report was

completed.

Theft: Officers made contact with the area manager of a Myan Circle business who wanted to

report a theft of money taken from their business.

Agency assistance: Officer responded to an agency assist at a N. Grapevine Rd. complex. MFR was on scene stating one adult female was deceased.

Fighting: An adult female was cited by the victim for battery. The female was issued the

citation with a court date to appear.

Wanted person: An adult male was taken into custody for an active bench warrant. He was booked

into the Mesquite Detention Center.

April 1:

Found property: An officer was contacted in the lobby in reference a found Garmin electronic

device.

Domestic trouble: Officers spoke with a female who checked into the hospital with injuries and wanted to speak with officers.

Traffic accident w/ Injuries: Officers responded to a roll over involving a golf cart.

Traffic accident w/o injury: Officers responded to a two-vehicle accident on private property.

Wanted person: An adult male was taken into custody for an active bench warrant. He was booked

into the Mesquite Detention Center.

April 2:

Hit & Run: Officers spoke with a female who was involved in a hit and run accident.

Controlled substance problem: Officers responded to the local hospital where an adult male checked himself in and began using illegal narcotics inside the hospital.

Domestic violence: Officers responded to a verbal argument.

Theft: Officer responded to a W. Old Mill Rd. residence reference a theft call. Officer took a report for stolen Airpods.

April 3:

Controlled substance problem: Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle.  The driver, an adult male, was arrested for multiple counts of possession of a controlled substance.

April 4:

Traffic stop: An officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic offense.  The driver was cited and released for two traffic offenses.

Controlled substance problem: One juvenile female was cited for possession of marijuana.

April 5:

Stolen vehicle: An officer responded to an apartment complex for a stolen vehicle report.

Information was gathered and the vehicle was entered NCIC as stolen.

Suspicious person: Officer made contact with two subjects acting suspiciously inside of a casino. One subject was taken into custody for an active felony warrant out of another state.

Fraud: An officer took an initial report regarding an alleged fraud, battery, and theft.  The investigation is ongoing.

Theft: One adult female was cited for petit larceny.

April 6:

Trespassing: Officers responded to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino regarding a trespass violation. One male

Lost property: Officer completed a report of lost property.

Assault: Officers took a report of a past domestic assault.

Found property: Officer completed a report of found property.

Domestic violence: Officers responded to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino reference a domestic battery. One adult male was arrested for domestic battery.

Domestic trouble: Officers responded to a domestic violence call. A female adult was arrested for

domestic battery.

Identification check: Officers responded to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino for minor gambling. Two adults under the age of 21 were issued citations for minor gambling.

Suspicious vehicle: Officers responded to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino in reference to a suspicious call. A female adult was arrested on an active warrant.

Intoxicated person: Officers responded to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino in reference to an intoxicated female causing a disturbance. One female was arrested for trespassing and an active warrant.
