Happy New Year everyone! Another year has passed, and like most people we look forward to new beginnings; creating positive changes for better things to come. Starting over can mean new opportunities, sort of like refreshing the page in your life. For many want to get past the past…it’s a part of the journey, sometimes difficult but necessary in order to see the possibilities that lie ahead in the New Year.

Life has many challenges, and with it comes disappointments of all kinds; job related, personal relationships, illnesses, accidents and often financial burdens. The hard part sometimes…is letting go and not looking back. Tragedies often stay with us for years, and what one may call tragic…another may call misfortune; it’s all in the way of perception. We get through those tough times, while marching on day by day and time continues…it never stops.

So here we are… at another crossroad in life; as the world turns and another new year sets in. Have you given thought to changes in your life or maybe set some new goals? I’m still working on goals from last year, so I think it’s safe to say I didn’t accomplish what I wanted to. It’s my own disappointment, but I am human…and sometimes S#%# Happens; unexpected things. As for my New Year, I will analyze my unfinished goals and try not to put such high expectations on them; for unseen possible complications do occur. I am looking forward to this New Year; what’s not to like about one more opportunity…because that’s what the New Year brings each and every single one of us.

Looking forward, I pray for ‘Peace’’…this world needs more positive influences. We must leave behind what we cannot change, so we may concentrate on things we can. Be more empathetic to others, we all have our own burdens to bare. Show more ‘Love’ towards one another; humanity, patience, decency, graciousness and unselfishness are all ways to show love and kindness in our world. Don’t let others negativity destroy your energy and always face your troubles with courage; you will need both of these to get through hardships that come your way.

As I come to a close, I want to wish you all an abundance of blessings for the New Year in 2019. I will leave you with a quote …. “Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.” ~ Carl Bard. HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!!

Make this year count.
