There are some people who go out of their way to help people in their communities thrive because in every community you’ll find plenty of people who need help; today Yoli Bell is both; she needs your help desperately; but it’s not what you think. Today, Bell needs the community’s help for her healthy sons.
Bell is the founder of the Mesquite Cancer Help Society (MCHS) which has helped dozens of families in the Virgin Valley with expenses that might be hard to meet due to costly treatments, inability to work or depleted funds because of medication expenses. Bell and the board members at MCHS work diligently to raise money for these endeavors but the help Bell needs today won’t cost you a dime.
Of course there is no monetary measure of a mother’s love but Bell sure could use some support from the community on this one; the help she’s asking for is worth a “Bell”ringing $100,000 to her boys.
Days after having major surgery, Bell received a text from her sons asking her to help them compete for a spot in the 2018 Intuit App Showdown!
Intuit is the go to company for all small business needs. You may have heard of some of their apps such as QuickBooks and TurboTax which makes it easy for small business/self-employed people to manage their finances, point of sales or file their taxes.
In the $100,000 Small Business App Showdown, developers leverage their own community to help get their app, with all its bells and whistles, in front of thousands of potential customers including accountants, small business owners, and entrepreneurs at Intuit’s annual QuickBooks Connect conference in October, in San Jose, CA.
Having limited motion at this time but with the determination of a bull and the drive of a racehorse to put her sons in the number one spot, if not the top three, she embarked in a frenzy of texting and emailing; asking her friends and other family members to vote.
“This has helped but does not come close to the votes needed to put them at the top. It’s all about voting and getting the daily votes, said Bell. It would be magnificent if I could go door-to-door but it is not possible at this moment and the voting ends on September 15.”
The only option Bell has now is to invite the community to help her by going to: https://intuit.promo.eprize.com/showdown2018/, scroll down to the app “SnapDsk.com” by Western Service Systems Inc. and vote. Each person can vote one time per day which means your vote each day, up to and including Sept. 15, will get them 10 more votes for the contest. If the community helps vote every day, they just might have enough to be in one of the top spots. The best part is that it only takes 10-15 seconds to vote.
You will be asked for an e-mail and name each time; they have to make sure no one votes more than once each day; but please vote.
There isn’t anything that Bell won’t do to help someone in need, this is the one time she’s asking the community to help ring her bell.
