CSN Mesquite is excited to be offering Phlebotomy again due to popular demand. This course will begin Fall 18 and only accepts 6 students. The program requires enrollment in the following courses CLS 151B Lecture (online), CLS 152B – Applied Phlebotomy, CSN Mesquite Monday’s 3:00pm-7:00pm, and CLS153 (Clinical hours scheduled with instructor, Mesa View Hospital). A phlebotomist collects blood specimens for analysis, checks the quality of the sample and assumes responsibility for the safety and comfort of patients during the procedure. Phlebotomists work under the direction of a lead phlebotomist or medical technologist. Successful completion of the program will prepare students to work in the field as a phlebotomist. Students must have high school diploma or GED and be at least 18 years old. Enrollment is very limited. Fall 2018 open registration is currently in progress.
