Kelton Leo Chamberlain, 87, passed away on June 23, 2018 in Mesquite, NV surrounded by his children. Kelton was born in Kanab, UT on October 25, 1930 to Edward and Cora Esplin Chamberlain.
Kelton grew up in Kanab, along with his brother VonDel and sisters Nola, Ione and Roma.  Kelton graduated from Kanab High School before serving a mission to New Zealand.  After his mission, he served honorably in the United States Army before graduating from BYU with a Bachelors’ Degree in Education.
Kelton married Noel Lewis in the St. George Utah Temple, and had 3 wonderful children; Bryan, Terri and Krista.  Kelton was an active member of the LDS Church and served faithfully in many positions.
Kelton lived in Mesquite for over 50 years, where he taught at Virgin Valley Elementary/High School for 30 years and after retirement, he worked for the Oasis Hotel/Casino for several more years.
Kelton was involved in scouting for more than 55 years of his life and he could always be counted on to help with a merit badge or Eagle project and he was most proud when he presented an Arrow of Light to a deserving Boy Scout.
Kelton is survived by his son; Bryan (Ruth) Chamberlain, daughter; Terri (John) Christensen and daughter; Krista (Mike) Bennett, 10 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his parents; Edward and Cora, two sisters; Ione and Roma, and wife; Noel.
A viewing will be held on Friday, June 29, 2018 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., with services following at 11:00 a.m., at the LDS Stake Center, 100 N Arrowhead Ln, Mesquite, NV.
