On Wednesday, June 13, Mesquite Gaming, owner of Casablanca Resort and Virgin River Hotel, extends its job fair in the Virgin River Event Center Tent. The event runs from 8 a.m. until noon and picks back up again from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. The two sessions are designed to give as many individuals as possible the opportunity to attend.
Numerous divisions within the two properties are hiring and department heads will be in attendance giving on-the-spot interviews. Mesquite Gaming is actively looking to fulfill multiple positions in areas such as food and beverage, housekeeping, casino facilities, surveillance and many more.
“In order to continue to deliver great customer service, we are looking for new and dedicated team members,” said Christopher Lazzara, vice president of marketing. “Mesquite Gaming works to provide proficient training for all employees and will prepare anyone interested in starting a career in the gaming industry.”
Mesquite Gaming offers competitive wages, opportunities for advancement, proficient training, a 401K, health insurance covering medical, dental and vision, paid vacation and, if you’re not sold yet, even a free meal every shift. All job offers are contingent upon successful completion of pre-employment background check, drug screening and new hire processing.

They would have far more success if they hadn’t put no re-hires on every single ex-employee in town.
I don’t understand why these Job Fares are necessary. My application was accepted, I passed the math test, only missing 1 question. I have a life time of experience both in the corporate world and the retail market. I was granted four interviews and turned down for each due to a more experienced individual. The last interview I had was with someone (a second time) who spent most of the time explaining to me how hard the job I was looking for was. I was seeking a Cage Cashier, rewards desk or front desk positions.
I know that you claim, “No Age Discrimination” but I believe that could be the only reason I was not hired. My health is great, I have a sound mind and just want to be working. Sorry you did not see fit to use my experience as a positive motive for hiring.
