On Sunday April 29, 2018, Coyote Willows Golf Course held a fundraiser tournament, auction, and raffle for little four-year-old Lexi Winslow of Coyote Willows Community, Mesquite Nevada. Lexi needs a surgery called Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy for Cerebral Palsy and will need years of follow up therapy.
Coyote Willows and it’s patrons with the help of Lexi’s parents, Mindy and Joe Winslow and their families, raised around $6000 for Lexi’s fund, which will assist in financing travel expenses for surgery, physical therapy after surgery, and of course the costs of surgery the insurance doesn’t pay. Ongoing donations are being taken at Mountain American Credit Union, acct # 11099997, Legs4Lexi, if anyone would like to donate. You can also donate at www.youcaring.com/Legs4Lexi
Lexi is looking forward to walking for the 1st time with help after her surgery. And one day…maybe run. You can track her progress at her Facebook page, Legs4Lexi.
Coyote Willows would like to personally thank the following individuals who donated cash to the fund. We had numerous anonymous donations in addition to donations from: Bob and Pat Bauer, Ricky and Barbara Sanchez, Kathy and Ed Wrzesinski, Dottie Evans, John and Sandy Dailey, Mr. Jones, Mel and Judi Arnold, Val Burbridge, Sylvia Thomas, Don Wamre, the Brocious Family, Tim and Shanna Lee, Mike and Cynthia Cauglin, Roy and Cindy Zbinden, Ray and Tess Plum, Don and Mo Hembree, and Mary and Brad Shurtleff. We apologize if we missed anyone in recognition.
We would also like to acknowledge those who donated merchandise for our auction and raffle. Those donors include: Baja Imports, City Shoppes Embroidery, Fusion Beauty Salon, Mesquite Gaming and Casablanca, Eureka Casino, Palms Golf, Frank and Cathy LaFever, Ray Plum, the Fuller Family, Bonnie at The View Salon, and Coyote Willows Golf Shop.
We would like to thank our auctioneer, John Dailey, for his incredible ability to raise bids on the auction items by reminding us all that all proceeds from the auction and raffle went to Lexi’s care. Thank you to our volunteers and Cathy LaFever who helped to organize the event. We, of course, cherish all the golfers who made the tournament a success and helped raise the money for Little Lexi’s surgery and recovery.
It does take a community to raise a child and the people of Mesquite have again risen to the occasion.
Thank you sincerely, CW Investments, Coyote Willows Golf Course
