Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. This week, there were 166 total incidents in the blotter:

April 15:

Lost property: An officer responded to a Partridge Ln. residence for a lost license plate.

Graffiti: An officer responded to a city facility for a report of property damage.

Panhandling: An officer issued a citation to a male adult who was panhandling and had been issued a warning the previous day.

Assault/Battery: Officer took a report of a battery that had occurred earlier in the morning. Witnesses provided written statements which will be completed and returned tomorrow.

April 16:

Hit & Run: Responded to a report of a past property damage accident. All information obtained and Drivers Information Forms given.

Traffic accident w/o injury: Officers responded to a two vehicle collision with no injuries. One citation issued.

Burglary: Officer took a report of a burglary at a N. Yucca St. studio.

Theft from vehicle: A computer was stolen from inside a parked vehicle. All efforts are being made to identify the suspects involved with the theft.

Traffic accident w/o injury: Dispatched to private property, non-injury accident. On arrival, drivers informed us that V2 was sitting in the traffic aisle, not moving, waiting for a parking spot to open. V1 backed out, striking V2 on the right rear with V1’s left bumper, causing minor dents to both vehicle. During our conversations, D2 became irate and an officer was requested and Officer Perry responded and dealt with the driver. Insurance Exchange forms were completed and exchanged; nothing further.

Property Damage, non-vandalism:  Took a report of graffiti at a local city property.

Agency assistance: Officers responded to an Agency Assist with AZDPS. One male was arrested by AZDPS without incident.

April 17:

Controlled substance problem: Officers responded to a local casino reference possible overdose. Upon arrival a male was found slumped over in the men’s restroom. Medical was notified and responded to assist. The male was transported to Mesa View Hospital and later arrested for possession of heroin.

Suspicious vehicle: Detectives arrested a male and female who was in possession of drug paraphernalia and a misdemeanor and felony arrest warrants.

Traffic accident w/o injury: Mesquite Officer responded to a local parking lot reference a private property accident.

Wanted person: Detectives located an adult female with an outstanding Mesquite Justice Court warrant.

Assault: Officers responded to a report of an assault in progress. Subject requested to sign a citation against the aggressor for battery.

Vandalism: Officer responded to a report of property damage on Sun Valley Dr. A written statement was gathered and the investigation is ongoing.

April 18:

Controlled substance problem: Officers responded to a local casino for trespassing. One adult male was arrested for methamphetamine.

Property damage, non -vandalism: Officer completed a property damage report.

Lost property: An officer received a report of property that was left in a motel room in California.

DUI: Officer conducted a traffic stop for a traffic offense, after an investigation the driver was arrested for DUI.

Traffic stop: Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on I15 for traffic infractions and subsequently arrested the driver for DUI.

April 19:

Controlled substance problem: Officers contacted a male with a known arrest warrant out of Mesquite Justice Court. Male was arrested for felony drug possession.

Suspicious person: Officers responded to a W. Mesquite Blvd. business reference a report of petit larceny.

Traffic accident w/o injury: An officer responded to a HOA for a private property vehicle accident

Traffic stop: Officers conducted a traffic stop for traffic offense. One male was cited and released for smoking marijuana in a moving vehicle.

Theft: Officer completed a report of a theft.

Follow up investigation: Officer responded to the lobby of the Mesquite Justice Facility for a report of possible threatening. Officer determined no threats or crime had occurred.

Civil Matter: Officers completed a citizen assist report.

Fraud: Officer started a fraud report. Officer is waiting for more information from the reporting person to investigate the fraud.

Domestic violence: Officers responded to a Pebble Beach Dr. residence on a report of domestic violence. One male adult was arrested for domestic battery.

April 20:

Domestic Violence: Officers responded to a Mesa Blvd. Dr. residence involving a domestic incident. The female offender left prior to our arrival. The investigation is ongoing.

Wanted person: Officers contacted a male with an active warrant out of Mesquite Municipal Court. The male was arrested for the warrant.

Found Property: Officer booked in set of (2) keys found in a local park.

Traffic accident w/o injury: Officers responded to a local residence for a report of a vehicle accident for a vehicle that struck a residence. Driver was transported to the hospital and cited for several traffic violations.

Suspicious person: Officer wrote a report on a suspicious situation.

Phone harassment: An officer responded to the Mesquite Police Department to take a report of harassment via social media.

Fighting: Officers responded to a Partridge Ln. address, in reference to a fight in progress.  One adult male subject was cited and released for battery.  Two other adult male subjects were cited and released for breach of peace.

April 21:

DUI: An officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic offense.  The driver of the vehicle, an adult male subject, was arrested for DUI-Alcohol (1st offense), driving without a valid driver license, and failure to maintain travel lane.

Hit & Run: Officers took a report of a hit and run in the parking lot of a local business.
