Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. This week, there were 170 total incidents in the blotter:

March 25:

Stolen vehicle: An officer took a report of a stolen vehicle at a N. Grapevine Rd. apartment complex.

Miscellaneous CAD call record: An officer responded on a report of child custody issues. A report was completed.

Agency assistance: Reporting person called the Mesquite Police to assist locating his girlfriend in Reno Nevada. The reporting person was advised to contact the Reno Police and to let the Mesquite Police know if we could be any assistance. RP contacted Reno PD who will be handling the situation.

Miscellaneous CAD call record: Female calls Police for assistance but refuses assistance when Officer arrives. Female was in a verbal argument with her baby’s father.

March 26:

DUI: Officer observed a traffic infraction. Upon conducting traffic stop the driver was observed to be impaired. The driver was taken into custody.

Domestic trouble: Officer responded to a domestic call on Mesquite Springs Dr. and one adult male was arrested for domestic battery.

Found person: Officers responded to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino reference a found person.

Theft:  An officer responded to the lobby in reference to a report of a theft of a golf bag and clubs.

Trespassing: An officer responded to a Mesa Blvd. apartment complex reference a trespass situation. One adult female was arrested for trespass.

Lost property: An officer received a report of a lost men’s wallet.

Found property: Was contacted by party cleaning out a vacated Mesa Blvd. apartment and disposing of trash. Suspicious items were given to officer for destruction.

Recovered stolen vehicle: Officer was advised that vehicle stolen from the Mesquite City Limits had been located by MCSO and recovered in Arizona.

Lost property: An officer responded to a report of lost property. An information report was completed.

Wanted person: Detectives arrested a male who had a warrant out of Mesquite Municipal Court.

Found property: An officer responded to the lobby for a found child’s orange bicycle.

Wanted person: Officer was on routine patrol when they observed a female who had an active warrant walking across a local business parking lot. I stopped the female and confirmed the warrant. The female was taken into custody,

Theft: An officer responded to an Old Mill Rd. business reference a theft. A report was completed.

Trespassing: Officers responded to a report of Trespass.  Upon investigation it was determined subject did trespass and was taken into custody.

March 27:

Domestic violence: Officers responded to a verbal argument at a Kelkim St.  residence.

Theft from vehicle: Officer took a report of a stolen license plate from Sun Valley Dr. Victim was given a incident number and advised to advised to notify DMV.

Agency Assistance: Detectives assisted MCSO with a search warrant.

Threatening: Officer spoke with a party regarding threats made on Mesquite Springs Dr. Report taken and advised complainant to obtain a TPO.

Agency assistance: Officers were dispatched to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino reference a possible overdose. One adult female was transported to Mesa View Hospital.

Controlled substance problem: Detectives collected prescription medications from the drug take-back program.

March 28:

Vandalism: Officer responded to a local park for a report of vandalism. Officer completed a report and city maintenance was on scene to repair the property.

Dead body: Officer responded to a welfare check at a Mesquite Springs Dr. residence. Officer discovered the resident was deceased. Clark County Coroner’s Office responded and completed their unattended death investigation.

Hit & Run: Officers responded to a W. Pioneer Blvd. business on a report of a hit and run. The offender was located and cited for the offense.

Stolen vehicle: Officers responded to the Mesquite Police Department to take a report of a stolen vehicle.

Battery on person: Officers responded to a Riverside Rd. residence on a report of a battery. One male was cited and released.

Domestic trouble: Officer responded to a Sierra Vista Cir. residence reference an assault.  Upon arrival, I determined a domestic battery occurred and placed the offender under arrest.

March 29:

Vandalism: Officers responded to an E. First Souths St. residence reference a report of vandalism.

Wanted person: An officer contacted and arrested a female with a warrant for her arrest.

Traffic stop: An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle and subsequently arrested the driver for possession of marijuana more than one ounce.

March 30:

Theft from vehicle: Officer completed a written report on a theft from a motor vehicle.

Controlled substance problem: Officers responded to found drugs on private property. Detectives are investigating the incident.

Suspicious person: A courtesy report was taken on a missing license plate out of Montana. The original owner of the plate needed the report in order to have the DMV take his name off of a travel trailer license plate.

Property damage, non- vandalism: Officer completed a property damage report.

Person on foot: Officers observed a male crossing a public roadway outside of a crosswalk. The male was arrested for a warrant.

DUI: Officers conducted a traffic stop for a traffic offense. One female was taken into custody for DUI.

Domestic trouble: Officers were dispatched to a Bannock St.  residence for a domestic violence. The male offender was arrested for battery and for two outstanding warrants out of Mesquite Municipal Court.

March 31:

DUI: An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle. An adult female was arrested for DUI and other traffic offenses.

Miscellaneous CAD call record: An officer assisted a complainant with questions about felon registration.

Suspicious person: Officer responded to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino on a report of a suspicious note. Officer attempted to locate family however they were unable to be located.

Suspicious person: An officer responded to a Willis Carrier Canyon business reference a suspicious situation. An information report was completed.
