FCM Storm

Over the past two months FC Mesquite soccer teams / players have risen above the competition.

FC Mesquite had three (3) teams take home medals in one of the biggest tournaments of the year.

FC Mesquite 09 boys team (FCM Storm Green) showed tremendous potential and great skill during the tournament.  The boys played great during pool play defeating every team they came across on their way to the final match. The Storm Green boys fell short of the championship medal against one of Utah oldest and biggest clubs La Roca.  The Storm Green boys brought home the silver medal and FC Mesquite could not be prouder of their performance.

FCM Storm Green is coached by Steve Paylor and Jonathan Pantelakis

FC Mesquite 07 boys team (FCM Barcelona) played their hearts out making it to final match.  At the end of regulation the boys were in a 1-1 draw with northern Utah powerhouse USA Elite.   The match came down to penalty kicks where the Barcelona boys ended up being out shot 3-2.  USA Elite may have won that game, but those boys won the hearts of their fans that day bringing home the 2nd place medal.

FCM Blaze

On the girls side FC Mesquite 07 girls team (FCM Blaze JC) again shocked the soccer community, yes the word AGAIN was used, that is because these girls are repeat Champions.  The FCM Blaze girls not only defeated every team in their bracket to make it to final match, they did so for the second time, winning the championship trophy now two (2) years in a row. If that’s not impressive enough the girls have shut out every team they have played during the last two Presidents Cups.

FCM Blaze it’s coached by Jared Cameron.

FC Mesquites very own soccer player Zachary Trimming was selected to final roster of 05 boys, for Utah Olympic Development Team.  Only 18 players were selected out of hundreds of players to represent the State of Utah in the Olympic Development Regional IV championship.  The championship took place over January 5-8, in Phoenix Az.
