Middle-aged, married and overworked, Barney Cashman wants to join the sexual revolution before it’s too late and arranges three seductions. He first tries to seduce Elaine Navazio, who proves to be a foul-mouthed bundle of neuroses. Bobbi Michele is next, a 20-ish actress who’s too kooky by half and finally comes September and Jeanette Fisher, a gloomy, depressed housewife who happens to be married to Barney’s best friend.
Cast: Paul Benedict as Barney Cashman, LeeAnn Elder-Kalstein as Elaine Navazio, Dianna McKinney as Bobbi Michele and Susan Shultz as Jeanette Fisher. The actors will bring the stage to life with Neil Simon’s comedy, Last of the Red Hot Lovers, directed by Denis Feehan, this weekend at the Mesquite Community Theatre (MCT). Show times are Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m.
Tickets are $16 for adults and $5 for students (student tickets available at the MCT box office only), available in advance at the Mesquite Chamber of Commerce, Ready Golf Cars and the Mesquite fine Arts Center or at the MCT box office one hour before show time. For more information contact the MCT at 702-345-4499.
