Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. This week, there were 175 total incidents in the blotter:

Feb. 11:

Threatening: Officers were dispatched to a W. Pioneer Blvd. bar, about a threatening incident.

An adult male subject was cited and released for breach of peace.

Noise disturbance: Officers responded to a local casino about an intoxicated male.

Abandoned vehicle: Officer responded to a report of an abandoned vehicle which had a 24 hour

sticker placed on 2/10/18 on Willow Lane. Anytime towing responded and towed the

vehicle to their lot.

Lost property: An adult male lost his wallet and wanted to report his wallet lost.

DUI: Officer observed a traffic violation and conducted a stop. Upon speaking with

the driver the officer smelled alcohol coming from inside the vehicle. Officers

had the driver preform a standardized field sobriety test. The driver was

arrested for driving under the influence and the traffic offence.

Trespassing: Officers responded to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino for a male who had reported been trespassed. The trespass was confirmed and active. The male was cited and released.

Feb. 12:

Theft: An officer responded to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino reference a theft. An adult male was cited for

defrauding an innkeeper.

Theft: An officer responded to a theft of gasoline from a vehicle parked on the street.

Burglary: An officer responded to a report of a past Burglary. An information report was

completed.

Suspicious person: Officers conducted a follow up investigation involving a reckless driver.

Feb: 13

Threatening: An officer responded to a residence for a report of threatening. One adult male was arrested for an outstanding bench warrant out of Mesquite Municipal Court.

Trespassing: An officer identified a suspect from a previous trespassing incident.

Traffic stop: An officer observed a traffic violation, after an investigation the driver was

arrested for DUI.

Theft from vehicle: Report was requested by the R/p of items taken from her vehicle. There are no

suspect(s) or witnesses to the incident.

Feb. 14:

Suspicious person: Officers responded to a vehicle vs pedestrian accident. One female was transported to the local hospital with injuries.

Found property: Officer responded to the Municipal Court for a report of found property. The

arrested for vehicle burglary and property damage.

Traffic accident w/o injury: A report was taken for a minor traffic accident without injuries.

Theft: Officer responded to a W Pioneer Blvd.  store for a report of a theft that occurred earlier

in the day. Officer took the report and investigation is ongoing.

Feb. 15:

Theft: Officers responded to an E. Pioneer Blvd. reference a stolen wallet.  The suspect was

identified but left prior to police arrival.  A citation has been signed against the suspect by the victim and will be served on the suspect upon being located.

Stolen vehicle: An officer responded to a Riverside Rd. apartment complex for a stolen vehicle report. Information was gathered, and the vehicle was entered NCIC as stolen.

Trespassing: Officers responded to a Cedar Ct. residence reference a squatter occupying a vacant

home.

Suspicious person: Officers responded to the Mesquite Detention Center reference a citizen

reporting possible stolen property.

Wanted person: Officer located a subject with an active warrant for his arrest. Subject was

taken into custody.

Minor possessing/consuming: Officer met with juvenile and the juvenile was cited for minor consumption of

alcohol.

Suspicious person: An officer was dispatched to a N. Sandhill Blvd. business, about a suspicious person.  An adult male subject was cited and released for crossing the road outside of a crosswalk.

Trespassing: Officers contacted a female at a business who had been issued the trespass warning. The female was arrested for trespassing.

Feb. 16:

Domestic violence: Officers responded to a report of domestic battery.  Officers determined and

arrested the primary aggressor.

Domestic violence: Officer responded to a report of a domestic battery in progress. One adult male

was arrested for domestic battery second offense.

Traffic accident w/o injury: Officers responded to a two vehicle non-injury accident. One driver was cited for an improper lane change.

Traffic accident w/o injury: Dispatched to a private property accident. On arrival, vehicles had been moved. Both drivers stated that V2 was in the drive through line at the Splash Pad when

V1 struck V2 from behind. D1 stated her foot had slipped off the brake. V2 suffered dents and scratches to the left rear bumper and trunk lid. V1 suffered dents to front bumper and grill and front bumper separated from both front fenders.

Traffic accident w/ damage: Officers responded to a single vehicle traffic accident. One adult male was transported to the hospital for evaluation.

Recovered stolen vehicle: An officer received a recovered stolen vehicle notification from another agency.

Traffic accident w/o injury: Officers responded to a report of a motorcycle that was crashed at an intersection.  Officers were unable to locate the driver or any witnesses to the crash.  The motorcycle was impounded without further incident.

Feb. 17:

Trespassing: An officer responded to a W. Mesquite Blvd. casino reference a trespass violator. One adult male was issued a citation for trespassing.

Traffic accident w/o injury: Officer responded to what was first called as a hit and run vehicle damage. Upon investigation it was discovered the neighbor had done the damage when backing out of their driveway. Insurance information was exchanged.

Trespassing: An intoxicated male adult was arrested for trespass and booked into the Mesquite Detention.
